Smile leo vince slipon install help

just purchased a leo vince slip on was wondering if i need any heat barrier material since oem heat shield will be removed.forgot to add its 2011 600rr.thanks

go to an Auto Parts store and buy the heat foil. it sticks to the tray

thanks for reply. any special kind of exhaust sealant?hopefully it can be purchased from auto parts as well. the cost of pipe and the it im fixing to order is lol thanks again for help.im very new to street riding

I put my Leo on and didn't put any type of heat shield on. You don't need it.

Mine has only done a few hundred since the install...but, I've removed it all and added nothing extra.....all is good and well. no signs of a hot seat, hot plastics or melting lol.

Did you get the CF can? Try touching it when idle and running, see how hot it gets too touch? Use caution though lol

I have a leo and no heat shield. I have the Tripage IT and I have never had a problem.

yup, I have 9k with a leo CF pipe and it never gets even close to hot enough

I never used heat shields on any of my slip ons (leo, FMF, and an Akra full)

My akra doesn't even get hot. I can put my hands on it at the hottest temp it ever gets. Cool enough to strap a cargo net around, doesn't melt the cords.

yes i got the cf one with slash cut at end.thanks you guys for all the info. yall all are great.very new here iam really pleased with all the info ive gotten once again yall are awesome.
