RIP Scott Ward
Today i lost a good friend of mine. Scott Ward was a fellow reserve coastie that saw a few deployments, and also a full time Baldwin County Sheriff. Today he lost his life in the line of duty responding to a call. My prayers go out to his friends and family. I will you miss you buddy, please look over us from up there.
And to all my fellow military and law enforcement please be careful out there. It was only a week ago i was sitting in his squad car at drill weekend shooting the **** with him telling him see you next drill, and now he's gone. You never know whats going to happen next.

sorry to hear about the loss. I know the feeling, my friend was home on leave from Iraq around the holidays, but we weren't able to get together. I welcomed his casket off the plane the following April.

Today was scott's funeral. i couldnt make it due to work and it being 2 hours away. but his funeral was attended by 100's and 100's of people showing their respect. The motorcade had over 100 police cruisers following behind the casket. Cruisers from all around the country as far as chicago.
RIP Scott.

Saw a video last night with part of the funeral. Was very proud to see a lot of my fellow coasties behind our fallen brother showing their respects. It was said that 1000's were there to show their support.
I would like to thank everyone who made it out there and everyone here on the dot net for your support. You guys rock.
