You could put your bike on a stand and get some mileage out of it.
180-200 each week for me.

~250-300, most of which is lane splitting up and down 101 during rush our (holy danger!)
it was OK during summer, i don't mind riding in the cold or dark (gear), but cagers just can't deal with the situation.
maybe i'll start taking caltrain to work but its twice and expensive and takes twice as long (****!)

Do you have a long commute? I can't imagine having to be in a car for 6-800 miles every week.

600-800? Screw that nonsense. My butt is sore after my 1 hour commute. I couldn't imagine doubling it and having to ride that EVERYDAY.

Gee. I only ride about 70 miles per week. School is 5 miles one way and that's 5 times a week. Then weekend riding to work and sometimes during the weekdays I go straight from school to work and they are close so my mileage doesn't add up so fast.
If I had more free time I'd cruise more but I'm in the middle of a smaller city so everything is relatively close.

Where I used to live work was 72 miles one way. That's almost 150 miles a day 5 days a week. My but hurt. At my new place my job is 6 miles away. It's cold in Maine so I only drive my bike about 5 months a year.
