Renthal Grips?
Is there anything to look for when buying a set? Specific size or number on the package? From what I've read, medium compound are best?

I go with the kevlar compound but that's because I like soft grips but they're long lasting as well. The sizes are all the same though. Just buy whatever compound your preference is.

I test rode a cbr with the rizomas, maybe one day, but I had progrips on my old bike and was told that renthals are a step above them.

Renthal Grips
I fitted a set of Renthal Grips a couple of months ago. They fit really well and do not shift as you move your hands on the bars. I went for the medium compound and so far they have been soft enough for good grip but firm enough to last.

Sorry I saw this late but the Kevlar ones are actually a light yellow color.
Seems you got it sorted out though.

I've been using the medium ones with good results so far. I might try out the Kevlars next.

What is so special about Renthals? I have looked at the Driven ones as well, which are more expensive but definitely more appealing and some have comfort issues with them. Rizoma I think is too expensive.

Renthals are awesome. The kevlars are lightweight, wear long and grip well.

+1 I asked my gf for d3's for Christmas but are these better grips? For sure they don't look prettier but in this case ill take function over style.

The Driven grips, (plain, not the stupid D3s) are thicker than the Renthals. I have used both on my race bike and I definitely like the Driven better.
