Hi,
I know the REG is brake light only and the STD is brake and turn lights. I was looking at videos on youtube and pictures since i've never seen the IT in real life but i still have some questions:
is the REG much brighter than the STD when breaking due to (I'm assuming) more red LEDs?
Are the turn signals (on the STD) pretty visible at night (and day) when signaling and breaking at the same time?
I'm asking those questions because i'm debating between the 2. I will most likely buy some rizoma turn signals and i was wondering if i go that route (maybe even foot pegs LEDs in the future) if it would be a wise choice to even get the STD IT.
My takes on it is its very clean for cosmetic wise.. Pretty bright.. But from the ones I've seen 90% of the time on CBRs the pipe covers half of the tail light (2 bros block the whole dam thing being so long) so having the brake light is almost useless especially at a distance..
Which brings me to the blinkers again same problem if you have a longer pipe you don't send much light being blocked.. So to the drillers behind you its useless.. And the blinker isn't as visable unless your looking for it.. Due to being all in one small spot..
But compaired to some riders who ride with that bar of LEDs pretty much mounted on the rear shock they are very visable.. I'm not talking down on IT I'm just huge on being visable and my tail lights head lights and blinkers are #1 for me when riding at night the brighter more visable the better..
So I have a hard racing FE and blinker combo slightly smaller but very visable to drivers.. keeps cops off my ass and signals/plate very visable.. But if your not as an** as I am then ITs are clean and pretty cool.
Yea its bright visible and legal with out a doubt.. That's all I'm looking for with out having the spare 10 LB of plastic they called the stock tail light from factory..
As long as I'm visa or I'm good.. Looks can come later or when I take them off at the track.. Rather be alive than have a sexy tail light and be windshield bug splat.
I've never had anyone tell me they couldn't see my signals or anything only compliments. Very visible tripage did a great job on these lights. Even if they miss my turn signal there's no way they won't see me slowing between the 50 LED pegs and the IT you really can't miss it

It's not they aren't visible its that your signals touch from a distance all you see is yellow lighting up the ass of the bike.. Who knows if that's the left or right side.. That's why I'm a huge fan of their passenger leg pegs.
I'm just speaking from experience because I was shopping for them a while back because they looked legit then I saw a guy who had one and followed him and he out his blinker on a few times and I noticed when he was ahead of me by a bit I couldn't judge weather it was the left or right one.. Then I started to notice the issues with them.. Not saying they don't work or are garbage but they aren't flawless.
I almost went with the single brake light and passenger LED pegs but the Peg/light was a little too pricey for my taste. So I just stayed with the one I had.

Thanks for the reassuring post, I have just placed my order and included the brake flasher. I do have a 2 bros and thanks to CK_32 I was very worried after reading his post. If the LEDs are very bright then there shouldnt be an issue especially with a brake flasher on top of things right?

Yea brightness is no problem at all... You can see them when they light up my only issue with them was the blinkers just showed to me as yellow on the tail I couldn't tell which indicator was on like you can on others which are on one side of the bike or the other or like on mine are like 8 inches appart..
But with a slip on like a 2 bros might cause an issue because they are so dam long might cover the tail light all together.. Just a guess tho never actually seen one blocked or with a 2 bros but I'm thinking it might cause an issue but if your worried about brightness your good man.

That's what i was worried too about the turn signals. I do have a 2bros exhaust shortened 2" (thanks tripage) that is actually not sticking out. I think i'll just get the REG IT with some Rizoma zero 11 turn signals anf get the foot pegs LEDs later

Good to know, thanks man. I guess worst case scenario is use hands along with the indicator, but hopefully I won't have to.

Yup, I ordered mine with the flasher relay, because I knew someday I would want it and regret not getting it with my first purchase.

never had a visibility issue with T's IT, i love the thing, best thing i ever bought for my bike, i have mine set on pulse flash to make it more obvious
theres actually a thread floating around about IT's and exhaust visibility, if i remember correctly the only 2 exhausts that had hiding issues were the stocker BUT only if you keep the plastic cover and the yoshi exhaust but all you have to do is shim the exhaust down a half inch and your good
the other thing that should be mentioned is that the picture in post number 2 is at an unrealistic angle
despite the fact that the tail shoots up at a high angle, the only cages that would ever see it at that angle would be cars like a lotus and even then you only lose roughly 2 rows of the 10 odd rows of leds that are in the thing

lucky...i ordered yesterday and i didn't get my shipped yet. Guess still building mine. LOL
Cause CA is a bit$h about the 6 inch rule for turn signals i didn't get the turn signal addon. I already have aftermarket ones so i'll just throw those on the license bracket. But i did get the brake flasher.
