Tried searching but couldn't find what I was looking for on this topic. I recently purchased a 08 CBR from a private seller. The bikes in great working order except one small part. The turn signal switch is sticky, slow, squishy, and tough... It happens in all directions, the button just barely makes it's way back to the starting position.
Perhaps there's some gunk stuck inside/behind the button. You can dampen a cotton swab with some cleaner and gently clean inside/behind it to see if it helps?

spray some wd-40 in there. thats what I do to the distributor in my old truck when it gets a little sticky. Plus wd-40 removes any moisture that might be in the switch

One thing I wish the turn signal had is a lane change feature. It would be nice just to move the switch over right or left before it locks and the signal come on.

It's just a push of the thumb...not that big of a deal unless you don't want to agitate an old Call Of Duty injury.
