so, my family ended up causing me to sell the Pink R6... They want me to get a car, and they said they would leave me alone about my next bike purchase (brand and displacement) So, I'm bike-less again, but somewhat by my own choice, and it doesn't hurt as much as being forced or having it taken from me. But I have tax returns and bonus coming up in april. So I'm going to get a new bike then. As of right now though, I have a 2003 Honda Civic LX Manual. I'm a try to get that bitch on two wheels for you all!
I'll be back on a bike in April DEF! I just dunno what to get now that I have more $$ and newer options. I was thinking 2005 R1 or 2005 CBR1000RR
??? opinions???

what???? why did the family make you get rid of the bike? don't they think you've suffered enough without making you give up something you enjoy?
They are scared I don't have enough experience to ride successfully in the rain ( I can and I love riding in the rain its hilarious!)
So they asked me too get a car for the winter, they begged me. Grandma was crying aunt uncle father. everyone. I said "Fugit" I'm buying a liter bike in April then. I'm a fat ass I bog the 600 down lol. I don't give about what they say, I'm not gonna die on a liter bike. Just be cautious calm and respective you'll be ok!

man, that sucks. how bad are the winters in california, can't be that bad surely lol.
at least you're intending to get back in two wheels though. when I talk about getting a 1000 in front of my mother, she gets all paranoid & worried because "its too fast" lol, she has no idea about bikes

lol... My family cowers like a dark cloud entered the room when they hear "R1" or "1000RR" or "Liter Bike"...Yeah its throttle control and responsibility. The right hand and left brain! haha I wanna liter bike hella bad, I just won't be stupid on it, got my kicks on the RR now I just want a transportation that will respond quicker with power to my weight haha. I accelerated sluggishly on the R6 and 600RR

well I've heard only good things about the extra power/torque & nice mid-range so it should be fun.
I'm sure you'll be fine, if you have self control & value life then you can ride anything safely, it's not the bikes fault when people ride like idiots, its the squishy bit that straddles it & twists that throttle while screaming "look at me, look how fast I can go"

at least you have a cage for this storm I hear is gonna hit. lol. so even if I were home right now, I def wouldn't be riding. save your loot man, get that bike, and as soon as spring hits we'll ride again.
