Gopro Side Helment mount up or down?
Im just about to stick a mount to the side of my helmet, but im debating whether to put the l shape turning up or down...
any input? which one creates less drag/vibration??

I use the elbow (L) mount and mount it normal.

Sorry to steal the thread, but does this create much drag? also is it pretty easy to remove the adhesive if you don't want it mounted anymore?

You will notice a little weight difference but in my opinion it's not too bad... I haven't noticed any drag but I have yet to go above 50 with it on lol

I don't notice anything... I feel I have more drag from my pants I'm wearing..
But again when I use mine I'm not going 165 so depends on the use but canyon/street/highway no I don't notice and forget its even there the whole ride

You will notice the camera is mounted to your helmet if that's what you're asking. How much though, not very much. The only noticeable drag that I felt was from the 80-100MPH range, anything other than that and you should be in full tuck which the windshield will take all the drag out of the equation if you're doing it correctly.

Thanks for the responses, also, should I use the curve mount or will the flat mount do? I have a shoei qwest if that helps

I mount mine vertically and just rotate the footage via the camera setting or my Editting software.
Way lower profile than that behemoth.
