It cost $800. I got it painted from a guy named Randy Boyd. He has his own autobody/restoration shop. Awesome guy to deal with, and is very good at what he does.

That thing is going to be a rocket!!
You sure you want to buy a 2012? Why not buy an older model and work your usual magic on it?????
Either way, i'm sure you'll customize the 2012 too.
Did you check out the 2013 CBR600RR? They FINALLY moved the light above the exhaust in the back.

Do the Tripage mirrors fold back? That will make it or break it for me. I am forced to fold my left mirror to park it in my garage.

Yes they fold back. Way better then the stock mirrors. They actually lock in when putting them back.

So J you've decided on the '12 CBR1K in Red then ;) any bites on your bike yet? it will be hard for me not to buy a new bike next year, but the more i think about it the more i want to hold on to my bike, well at least for 1 more season :) my list is still the same
CBR1K, Day 675R (lookn forward to seeing the '13) and the Duc is still lingering, hoping to do a few ride days next year!

I totally understand why you're having second thoughts lol
You put so much hard work into it and it does look sick!
I really like the Daytona 675 too. Sturgess had one 2011 left in stock earlier this year and was getting rid of it at a very good price. It was still a bit over my already inflated budget, so I elected to think with my head instead of my impluses.
I'm very happy with the CBR though.

Or you can paint with dupicolor high heat or BBQ paint. Paint that matches frame is I believe semi gloss.
