Got an 03 600rr a couple months ago, this is my first street bike, have always had fast dirtbikes/four wheelers since I started riding at age 4.
First off pulled the normal maintenance items and new michelins, then proceeded to raise the bike back up to stock height.
After that paint was needed to get rid of that yellow and the cracks in the fairings. Decided to go with a konica minolta theme mostly because it was simple and clean, I thought about going balls to the wall and marbelize/ water drop it with crazy colors but decided to hold back. Also used a flat clear to be a little different.
Next came the painting of levers, forks, swingarm, and peg brackets.
Inspired by the sharpie Lamborghini floating around the internet I decided I would give this sharpie madness a try, I mean worse comes to worse I just repaint the white again, no big deal. Started off with valentino rossi's sun and moon then just pretty much went crazy from there. Come january I'll strip it back down and clear over the whole thing again.
Hopefully christmas will bring an integrated tail light, shorty levers, a solo cowl, and a few more goodies.
Tell me what you guys think.
I fixed the cracks and scuffs, taped flush from the outside then used this glue stuff at work we use to glue bedsides on instead of welding them. Then a little body filler and sanding brung them around.
Thanks guys, I used 5 normal sharpies and one big one. Doesn't take long to round off that nice sharp point and you have to get a new one.
All in all I would guess it took around 15 hours, just working on it around my school/work schedule. I'll take some outside pics of the whole bike soon
Man I wish I had the skills to do something like this.... I can draw stick people... that's about as detailed as I can get haha.... sic bike though bro
The clear is the same thing we use on any vehicle, just with a flattening agent mixed in. It's held up well on things in the past, but it will show scratches a little more than gloss.

Oh cool, so it's like the paint on the new M3?
If I ever get track fairings this is what I'm doing.
Damn, that is pretty cool. It has that unique tattoo feeling to it. I don;t have any tattoss but I really like this idea. No one will ever have the same bike as you either!!

looking pretty fresh. I was thinking about getting another set of plastics and bringing them down to the shop where I got my tribal done, and letting all of them have at it. nicely done indeed.
Looks awesome man that's good work. A guy by me had a tattoo artist do his while nissian gtr like this and it looks amazing. His almost had the same look a the Leyla bike.
