Help Finding 04-07 Subaru WRX or STI Within 350 Miles Of MI
Hey guys, so my cobalt sold the other day and I am moving onto the car I have always wanted to own, a STI. Anyone who knows me knows I talk non stop about these cars and have always wanted one, so now is the time.
I have searched CL, NASIOC and Auto Trader for cars and have emailed some, but not finding one around or below KBB that I like or that has low mileage that isn't at the top of the KBB price chart. This is why I am posting on here to see if anyone knows people selling one.
I am looking for a 2004-2007 STI. Also, I will look at a WRX if the price is right, because a WRX is also a nice car and what I am looking for. I would like it to have below 90K miles, and if it has high miles I would like it to have the entire 100K tune up done such as water pump, timing belt and that that you have to do. Furthermore, it would be amazing for the car to have all season tires because I will be driving this car year round. No rebuilt titles also. I know KBB and that, so if you know anyone with them within 350 miles of MI let me know. States that I would be willing to travel to are Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York and Kentucky. Maybe a little further if the price is right and they are willing to cut me a break on the price to account for drive time.
I am asking for your help because I drop my car off on Dec. 16th to be sold, and will have to barrow a car if I cant find one. I hope one pops up on CL or something before then because I have looked all over. If you know anyone selling have them contact me. And before you ask, yes I have looked at Evo's and I dont like them as much. I have looked at countless cars and am set on an STI.

might as well get it out of his system that way when he gets older he is over it. Good luck on your search breh.... personally the 06-07 is my favorite.

Don't compromise on your "dream" car. If you have to, buy a junker to make it through the winter and keep looking. If you get into another car that you like, but don't love, you'll regret it.

Also, +1 Neptune..
Don't bother. That is what I've told him to do a hundred times. Sell his Cobalt, put a new trans into his Saturn to get him through winter, and look in the spring, or wait for a good deal.
He has buyer fever, IMO. He's either going to settle for something less, or get into a bad deal.
Even has a sound system installed already. Less molested than the one you text me last night. I'm usually pretty leery of cars with a ton of mods done because I don't know who did them, or how well they were done.

I got him down to 17500. I would have to buy all season tires and do the water pump, belts, tensioner pully for the 100k Service. Was reading on nasioc that it's almost to do a bov because the stock works perfect and the up pipe he has should be paired with a bigger turbo or headers. And I doing it has a tune so there is $1000 right there which isn't bad. He removed the decals
I would go there and offer him $16,800 on the spot. (after driving it of course). It's been up for sale for at least a month and a half, and it's a niche vehicle around here. I'd be surprised if he didn't take it or come back at $17K

Ya I offered 17500 and he took the offer, didn't have to even ask twice. He also has no idea the tint levels on the car, said the car has run flat tires, idk why. I'm assuming previous owner did everything. Also has neons

I just called Y to K imports in Romeo Michigan and they actually have a 2010 Subaru that is being done within the week. They're going to ask $22,000 for it and it has 30,000 miles. The radiator was the only thing that was damaged in that place has done outstanding work because two people have bought cars from there and they are really really good cars. They have no problems and they do outstanding work with a warranty. It is also dark charcoal and an STI
I looked on clist for three months straight till i found my sti 06 w 22k for $22k great condition and tons of quality mods, take ur time dnt rush it. The one will come to you. I loved that car !!! Gunna buy another asap. That one for 17 seems a bit pricey.
And before you ask, yes I have looked at Evo's and I dont like them as much. I have looked at countless cars and am set on an STI.

So basically, you could have just skipped the entire first post and just said you think you want an STI, but you'll settle for something else, and that title status doesn't mean jack to you.
Way to stick to your guns, chief!
I refer you back to my original comment....

Yes I know stupid seri can't listen to me the right way. That one I found with a rebuilt title getting finished up is a 2010 hatch sti. ******* amazing car. It has 32k miles for around 22k. I'm going to look at it, I love the new hatch just out my price range till I found this. Im searching and not going to impulse buy but that 2010 is a deal for 22k.
Buddy of mine got his 06 sti repoed a few years ago car was crazy clean he washed it atleast 3 times a week he's always had the cleanest cars. Before they came and took the car he took all his mods off it exhaust etc etc they ended up selling the damn thing in an auction for 13500. Maybe try to find someone with a dealers license and wait till one pops up in an auction
