Those that are having this problem.. Remove your front brake lever and reset the plastic pin "switch" sounds like the levers were removed and not put back in properly and the switch is being held closed..
and you checked the rear brake switch for proper adjustment?
Yea i have... took the whole thing off still nothing....thanks tho i thing the switch is the problem

Even if the front and rear plugs are unplugged this "switch" will still cause the brake light to light up..... Thanks
If you are unplugging the switches and you still have brake light then you have a wiring problem. You are bypassing the switches and finding out the taillight is the problem..
ok so i took the front brake switch completely off the bike and still the light stays on. Rear switch is completely off as well. tail light stays the same. :(
could it be a faulty tail light ?? Its brand new off egay

Just want to share my experience. i had the same problem with the brake light staying on all the time even after i disconnected both switches.
After taking the whole bike part i find out i made a very stupid mistake.
While installing my brake lever i pinched the wires for the front brake switch keeping the brake on all the time.
Maybe this will save some of you the trouble it caused me!!
I just wanted to chime in and thank all of you for these types of threads. Saved me a major headache because I thought I had some faulty wiring somewhere (high sided a few months ago) since my rear light would stay on even with the front brake disconnected. Turns out the brake spring on the right rearset that I replaced wasn't adjusted correctly.
