Sorry to disappoint =( . Extremely close call today after the 2 hour ride coming home. Not speeding, no wheelies, just not paying attention. Really lucky to be here I love you guys! Can't wait to ride tomorrow.
I crashed mine today.. It was my first crash ever. The bike landed in soft wet grass and the damage is only cosmetic but It was a high side and I was thrown a good distance from the bike. I landed on my shoulder and rolled for a while. Almost landed on ditch rocks.. It was a combination of not paying enough attention to the curve and and letting my instincts **** up control of the bike. Thank god for gear though, I heard my helmet pound multiple rocks.

What exactly happened? Can't leave us hanging with out the juice.
Was on the last 30 min part of my ride, had a truck tire blow up in front of me. something hit my leg, after I got past everything I looked down at my knee (this is the stupid part) I took my eyes off the road, wind was 20-30MPH (one handing and looking down not smart) as I look up I was about 2 feet from the end of the highway (there was no turn mind you, wind just pushed me off the road). So I went into the middle grass between the highway at around 85MPH. It was a new high way so it was dirt/rocks at about a 45 degree slop going down about 5-10 feet making a V shape between the two highways. It happened in slow motion for me tho, I first wanted to grab the brakes but knew better from all my dirt bikes and what not that I would just eat **** also street bike and off road done mix. I knew I just had to ride it out, I worked my way some how down to the middle where the ditch was some how i made it over the run offs and everything. Just pulled the clutch in and went about 100 or so yards. Came to a stop, put it in first climbed up the hill like a dirt bike and went on my way. I stopped about a mile down the road to check myself. Skill and TONS of luck went into pay, experience does help but can only do so much. Needless to say I did count my blessings.
Wow toro, sounds like yours would've been a lot worse. I think it's a giant heads up to both of us to ALWAYS pay attention. A split second of carelessness is too much, obviously.
I plan on spending some good money on my next helmet. It's crazy, I don't think anyone can understand how important helmets are until you've been in a crash. The impact and force is insane. People who ride without them are absolutely nuts.

Could have not said it any better myself haha, just got a little to comfortable. You should make a rebuild thread on you're bike so we can see how it goes if you are going to do so.
after this.. I am sure you will think twice and ride with more caution ...
happen to me once... I was riding in the highway going like 85-90 and while the road was curving... somehow I almost went off the road lol.. luckily I gave it more lean and curved back on the road .. this was a while back when I first started riding.....
nowadays I ride very cautious... especially when there are things around me...

Truck tire blowouts are a big problem down here, if only they put half their load onto the tracks (where it belongs) rather than on the roads, I'm sure we would have a lot less stories like this.
