I've heard that after a certain point, on the way to tortilla flats, it turns into a dirt road for about 30 miles? Is that true?
yeah a little ways after the restaurant it turns into a dirt road, but going from the valley its all paved
i just did south mountain today actually. i was riding two up so i was cruising nice and steady, was a fun ride, couple corners still kinda caught me off guard.
i wouldn't recommend going all out the first time, have heard of quite a few poeple wrecking up there lately. was a fun ride tho
haven't done tortilla on my bike yet, done it in my car a handful of times. my bro laid his bike down out there so that's always kinda kept me away lol i do wanna do it tho

The ride out to the flats is not that great. once you get to the town there is a stretch about 6 miles before you hit the dirt road that is pretty nice. I've done it twice in the last 4 weeks, it's pretty fun.

I should have them back in about 7-10 days ( he's starting on them this week )...
This will be SIMILAR to the final outcome... ( don't like the factory white they used for the 2013, so my 2011 is getting 2 coats brilliant white, 2 clear coats and a full color wet sand )...
BTW...
IF any of you guys are interested in a Joe Rocket Honda Racing TEXTILE jacket ( sz MED ) hit me up. $80 for any of you local guys / gals
I had it listed in the F/S section and CL for a while now, but no one followed through...
The road leading up to the resteraunt is tore up. If you get behind a boat and have to follow it for a while, it gets very boaring. But when you get passed the resteraunt its a lot of fun. The road is smooth and alot of slow and fast corners. At the end of that road, it turns to dirt and goes all the way to Roosevelt Lake.
Here is my buddies onboard from the dirt road to the just before the resteraunt and back up the hill.
we should do a shorter ride this Sunday so the bulk of us can meet each other and build a little repore before we go on a longer more technical trip like SRC
Here is what i propose tell me what you guys think
meet up for a pleasant trip to prescott THIS sunday put a few faces to the names then NEXT sunday do SRC so anyone who cant go this sunday can go on the longer more fun ride with a bigger group next sunday

Isn't Prescott a longer ride than SRC? I'd be down to go on either ride though.
