Arrow Who else is made of metal?

Hey just thought I'd make a thread on those who have gone down, survived, and ended up with pins plates etc. (and gnarly scars).

Last April I was on my way to school, just finished my 20 mile freeway ride, within 1min of getting off the freeway I was going down a main street and the lady on the other side of the intersection decided to make a blind left turn. It was a yield light and I had a fresh green light on my side. She said she couldn't see me because the sun was in her eyes. She looked while turning and then slammed on the brakes, there was an escalade on my right so I was in a box.

I T-boned her at 45 mph, so not speeding, I was actually being safe that morning

Got a plate and 12 screws in my left wrist. Not going to lie, the wrist didn't hurt nearly as bad as the gas tank meeting my manhood ever so suddenly.
I was legitimately black from the waist down for 2 weeks easy

Wearing a helmet, jacket and gloves. Instant life time customer to Shoei and Alpinestars

Bike was totaled, (Three days after I finally finished modding it).

With and without staples. 6 months difference in heal time.

No metal in me but I have had a couple hundred stitches over the years. So many that I can stitch myself up if need be.

Happened in a car, not a bike

Broke my C5 and C6 vertabrae. So now I have two titanium plates and a cadaber (prob spelled wrong) bone. All of this happened doing 40mph in a 45mph. Blacked out so don't know what really happened...wasn't drunk or anything, just freak accident. Only took me 3 days to get out of the hospital and a few months to get out my neck brace.

That's extremely unfortunate man

How's the recovery since? I know my wrist bothers me everyday, I couldn't imagine a bad back.

Shockingly, that's the only thing I don't have problems with atm. I get real tight around my shoulders and neck sometimes, but thats about it. I was def blessed to come out of it so untouched. Now I got a bulged disk and bad knees from what I have no clue, but those two injuries bother me quite a bit...especially this time of year when the weather is going from warm to cold and back again. I've had 3 shots in my back and 2 in my knees (and I'm 28 btw lol) Can't wait till my 40s.

Best thing I can recommend for you is carry some advil, etc, ice, and hottttttttt baths (but since its just your wrist, heat pads will do)

Broke my tibia I think it was? And shattered my ankle and tore a bunch of tendons or whatever back in 06 in a motocross race at budds creek over shot the catapult. Got a plate wit a few screws one big screw that went through the middle they took out and I think there's two in my ankle bone. Acts up some times and gets stiff makes it hard to walk and if I stand on it for to long it gets numb

This is why I don't ride dirt any more. Its just way to easy to have to much fun and get crazy.

I will purchase scrap titanium screws and plates >if the price is right< assuming people have anything laying around that was removed or whatever. Titanium only.

I got tired of him being a freeloader and destroying my parents and my life. So I said something to him and he threw a bucket at my bike so I attacked him and he got a good punch at my jaw.

He only removed one. I cried for the other while he's at it but he didn't. He also removed an inpacted bottom k9 tooth as u can see.
