So I hooked up a Powerlet adapter to the bike. Ran it along in the wire loom up the right side of the bike. From there I have the outlet adapter -> two cigarette lighter adapters. On one, I have a Powerlet USB adapter. I run an Ipad 3 (soon to be Mini Ipad), an iradar200 and iphone on the other. I interface it all through my helmet so I can get nav/directiions, take calls, listen to music or watch a movie (if i wanted).
Now, my question is...Is there some kit that plugs into the ECU port to a wifi module? I want to it to send engine parameter info wirelessly since the Mini Ipad still blocks my cluster. I have a unit like that on my car that sends it to the iphone but I dont know if there is such a thing for the bike world. Thanks...
Not really since everything will be sent via bluetooth to the helmet. I may forget the Mini Ipad for now and just utilize my iphone since I have it mounted on a Techmount (stem). The only issue it radar detector mount location and Powerlet mounting location...

Thanks. Im already having a friend develop the software. The plug to bluetooth module is a piece of cake...
Reread what you're doing and didn't realize at first that you wanted to use your helmet as a hub for everything. I thought that you wanted to have all that info in a heads-up display or something.
You'll probably want to get a manual and look at the wires going to the cluster and see what you're going to want to be displayed on the virtual cluster and have some type of piggyback module that can interpret them and display them accordingly.
Look into data logging (since that's going to be the heart of the project) then have your friend make an app for the device.
