Christmas Smiles and Chuckles
So my wife told me to get some Christmas lights for the apartment. She's been driving me nuts lately, but anyway, I put up some red, white and blue lights in the place. When she got home and saw them today (I was off) she said they were beautiful and thought it was a hint we were going to visit France during the holidays. The conversation went something like this:
Wife: "Wow, how beautiful!"
Me. "Thanks, do you like the colors?"
Wife: "Oui, oui!" (She's Italian)
Me: "Do you know what they mean?"
Wife: "Paris?"
Me: "What!? It's HRC!!!"
Wife: "What's HRC?"
Me: "Honda Racing Corporation!"
Wife: "Are you joking? You're obsessed! How stupid! I thought we were going to France!"
Me: "Hmm. Let's think about that, too."
We actually are going to France, but I haven't got the tickets yet. Hope this gag doesn't backfire on me later.
MODS: Oops, posted this in pics instead of off-topic, where I'd meant to. If somebody could move it, that'd be great. In the meantime, use your imaginations and the story will hopefully create the shocked look my wife had on her face.
