I went to Best Buy and picked up a Hero1(for $129) after they announced the Hero3. Now I have 2. That being said, I will be picking up a Hero3 before track season.

Finally. Santa Came early this year.

And dropped off 50 GoPro Hero 3 "BLACK" Series.

Wish we got more then this, but 50 Units will do for now.

Just wanted to say thank you for all those who have been waiting patiently.

Your orders will be shipping ASAP.

And of course you will be getting a tracking number emailed to you once it's on the way.

Our GoPro Rep swears up and down there is no Black Series motorsports kit.
Only the Adventure kit or Surf Kit

They instead are leaving out the Suction cup mount as an "OPTIONAL" add-on the customer can purchase after the fact.

Guess, since soo many of us already have mounts.. they figure we may not need it.

And of course to keep the cost down.

nice gratz guys on waiting. Mine finally shipped from the gopro site yesterday after waiting from Nov 16.... its gonna be at my house tomorrow. Woot! Guess a bunch of us will be having gopro 3s soon.....!!!!!

nearly every UK website has a motorsport edition to pre-order and the consensus is that only the packaging is different not the mounting. However one store (which i ordered from) said the mounting IS different including the new suction mount. When i confirmed this with them again they said no the mounts are the same

Also the motorsport edition is due in january 2013 so i naturally asked to change my order.

Dunno why gopro decided to just change the package.

The easiest way to know is the Part Number.

Currently the ONLY Part Number GoPro shows on their website is the: CHDHX-301 - Adventure ___ & ___ CHDSX-301 - Surf

Where on GoPro website did you see a Motorsports edition and it being released Jan. 2013 ?

nope, no part number and i also emailed gopro and their reply was along the lines of "thats a great idea, a motorsport black edition, i will put that across to our product development department". Rather sarcastic but again confirmed no motorsport.

Never mind, i have asked for my order to be changed.

Considering they had Motorsports for every model UP UNTIL This one....

It's pretty clear they made a choice to drop some of the accessories out to lower the cost.

And call it "Adventure" Model.

Are they planning to stop making suction cup mounts? I notice all the best buys around me have their suction cup mounts on clearance.

got the black edition, but just realised im missing a couple of things from the pack!!!! annoyed, but the camera is great though, bit large though with the case on it

Yea! It's awesome. Came with everything it said. Little disappointed they don't include a suction cup mount now. I'm going to have to figure out all the mounts I need to buy now.

Added the wifi remote to the black cause supposedly everybody has a suction mount from their previous kitt + if it is your first GoPro, the suction mount is a cheap accessory.

Just got my gopro black in yesterday! Thanks HardRacing!!

Haven't had much time to mess and test the settings but one thing I noticed was that if you try to click too fast through the settings the gopro just resets and kicks you out of the settings menu without saving the changes you made.
