Alpinestars GP Pro Gloves

I have this years version in black/white. Fantastic gloves offering loads of protection and excellent fit. For next season I would quite like a pair of Dainese Full Metal Pro gloves to match my Dainese 1pc.

Got these, amazing pair of gloves, very well made and seem to have alot of protection in the right places and fit my hand nice and tight! Not crash tested mine and dont intend to A few forums i have been on slate dainese products but mine have been great so far

I found alpinestars gloves a bit hit and miss size wise, some fit the width but fingers too long and vice versa.

At the moment I can't justify the cost of the Dainese gloves. I would eventually like a set but I would rather put the money towards an Öhlins TTX. I have only had my Alpinestars set since March and this is the fourth set I have owned. The previous set were retired last season after an 'off' racing at Snetterton; albeit they stood up to a 50mph low side extremely well hence why I bought another pair.

finally, someone with their modding priorities in the correct place

btw there's a bitubo XXF shock second hand on ebay. that was a very close second choice to my TTX.

I have the 2012 version. A lot of people told me to go a size up because they fit tighter than their street line. The street stuff is normally either too loose or too tight on me and finger length is an issue.

These fit me like money in my normal Medium size. Snug like they should be and the finger length just right. I'd LOVE to get some of the 2013's. Kangaroo and other things

I have the previous model GP-Pro, which I switched to from the WRX. I wore an XXL in the RST, and an XL in the Pros, so I think you should be good there.

IMO, the Pro dominates the WRX. While the WRX is a good glove, I think the Pro has better feel, offers a greater amount of protection, and just feels like a better glove. Also, I think the gauntlet cuff is far superior compared to WRX, offering better protection.

I think you'll be very happy with the A*. I kind of wish I would've waited and grabbed the '13, but I got a great price from Randy (TheX), so I couldn't pass them up.

thx, yeah love the WRX, def a great glove, but i can see the improvements in the GP Pro's. I can see why it's prob one of the most pop glove out there imo. So you wore an XXL in the WRX's? and XL in the Pro's correct?

The GP Pro's do fit a bit snug. I wore a medium GP-Plus but bumped to the large GP-Pro due to the sizing.

Let us know how you like them, man. Payday is Friday and all of my Christmas commission will be on that paycheck so I'm excited -- money to blow! lol but yeah I'll probably drop the money on either these or the Held Phantom's. I def like the appearance of the GP Pro's tho; gotta love that hard gauntlet.

Finally they add some hard protection to the palms. Hopefully this signifies a return to quality for A* gloves as they've had a rough couple years after transitioning manufacturing.

Re: 2013 A* GP Pro's

I've owned mostly if not all Alpinestars gloves from street, race, and even winter riding gloves. Great product and I would buy them over and over again. Just be warned that they usually ripped when crashed. I wish it was a little more durable in that department. The GP Pro is what I have now and they tend to leave streaks or marks on your gas tank from the plastic wrist cover. Despite the little issue, I still love them.
