The only thing I can say positive about the 13 cbr600rr is the repsol edition makes this bike look better, but it's still ooogly. Just saying.....
I am curious to see how the performance stacks up.
Btw, 07/08 Best model year, everybody knows this.
Anyways, congrats!
To each his own. I know a lot of people are not a fan of the 13 but that's fine by me. Loved my 07 except for the tail light on the stalk & the lack of bodywork on the side. I was coming from an 06 @ the time so I missed those things but the 07 was way better than the 06 in every other way.

I agree, everybody has their own preferences. The 13 will grow on me I'm sure just as the bmw s1000rr did. Now I like the bmw, looks mean and tough.

Bret, you are just bonkers for this Blade aren't ya?
Have you ridden the blade? I rode an 08...haven't stopped dreaming since
Once you role past a kid on the street with the low grumble of a 1000cc's of power, you've made a biker :) That's how my life started with biking, ever since it's been working towards a fireblade, ironically obviously most of what i saw was the back of it, so for some reason i've always like the rear tyre end with the foot pegs just visible sticking out and the chain rocking around the sprocket and that growl coming from the back always like that view of a bike, knowing my 600rr rolls past young people in towns and they just stare in amazement, it's good to knowing im influencing people...hopefully all good
me swanrr5 and madmat almost all hit some old billy walking on the inside edge of a corner near a hedge on the backroads we road on though, im sure he wasn't impressed...you could only see the guy as you come around the corner and bam he was there on the inside i was like wtf you doing lol....he seemed scared enough of being hit by bikes coming around so didnt shout anything haha, he thought swan was it, then madmatt comes around and gives him another fright then i came around as well but by then he realised hes on the wrong side better stop, bet he thought it wasnt going to end haha

Congrats OP! You are a brave soul. Doing what you are doing is like walking into a dealer bent over with your pants around your ankles. But hey, if you have the lube, I mean $, more power to you. Congrats again.

Thanx. We'll see what I end up paying. If its something I really want then I don't mind paying. I've been saving every penny I can for a long time now so I figure I've earned it.

Another couple reasons for the early purchase. Here in the north the riding season is shorter than other areas. Waiting til the end if the riding season to save some bucks & then having to just put it away doesn't make sense to me. Other reason is the repsol speaks to me. Experience tells me if it speaks to you than go with it. If you have your heart set on a repsol like I do you can't wait because they are limited.
^^^ I hear what you are saying. It's not the paying up front that bothers me in a case like this. I did the same thing when I special ordered my M3 to get exactly what I wanted, but I knew the OTD price when gave them the down payment. I just could never put a down payment on anything without knowing exactly what I will be paying. I'm curious, are you stuck with having to pay whatever the dealer demands? Or can you back out of it's over MSRP? How does it work?

I just put down the deposit to hold a repsol unit. I can back out. Only did it to ensure I'd get the chance at one. Idk where you are located but I've never seen dealers around here, @ least the ones I frequent, price a unit higher than MSRP no matter how rare the model. The 13 will be more than the 12 I don't even question that but I personally don't believe it's going to be crazy higher than the 12. IMHO
I see. So there's no risk with the deposit. But be prepare to pay whatever the dealer ask for since they know you want the bike. Anyways, congrats again. I'm sure it'll be a great bike.

I hear ya. I'm prepared to pay MSRP @ the absolute most but I'd only do that for the rep model. I'm pretty sure I'll get outta there for less than MSRP. I had a lot of requests so I will be posting the buying process along with some pix after it all goes down. Btw being one of the first in the country to get a rep isn't a bad thing in my book lol.
This jewel right here will complete the sick factor of owing such a bike even if it does not fit you
Holy buckets that's shweet. I'm salivating. That is one problem buying a very color specific bike like the rep. I have to get new gear to match. Jacket, that will zip to my pants, gloves & a helmet. Did I mention that that lid is shweet?!

Dude don't do it, save your self about $7000.00 and pick up a clean used one, basically same bike. Get a 07/08 they are the faster ones and lighter too. Can you imagine what you can do with 7 grand to that bike.
