Waiting for this is like having to pee really badly while trying to hold in explosive diarrhea and not being able to tell which end the excitement in your pants is leaking from but it doesn't matter anymore 'cause all you want to do is to get on that toilet and the guy in the bathroom before you has been in there forever and you haven't even heard a flush.
We have new machines in house that we are setting up. This will make this project all done in house. Will take some time to set this up but will keep the cost down when it's completed.

I'm not trying to sound too impatient but here but with the new machines do you feel this product might be released this year? It would be cool to set up this mod for the riding season this year.

I'm in the middle of bringing my baby back to life from a lowside so maybe i'll add these to the parts list when they are ready ;)
As said before the low beams are fine, will run all day/night no problem. Just can't install the high beams as well in the housing. Running low/high for long period of time creates too much heat and the enclosed housing can't get rid of it fast enough. I don't want to sell this short and only have the low beams. Looking at different ways of cooling off the units if running high beams so will update once we come up with something. These can easily be retro-fitted to have led's and projectors so this is a possibility, just weighing the options. T
BUMP!!! Any updates on this? really getting close to pulling the trigger on a headlight mod and want to do either this or the HID Projector mod for Borka...

We are at a hold right now. If we can cool them then we are looking at added weight. I don't want to rush this and it look like a mess after it's completed. Just have to wait for the led's to progress. They are getting more and more efficient and with that comes better and better products. Going to outfit a hooligan first since we know it will stay cool and will go from there. See how it goes with the industry.
gahh i've been subscribed to this thread and when i saw new posts i got my hopes up and thought they were done! oh well i cant wait for the final product.

Considered cooling fans but then we have to figure out how to get the heat out of the sealed headlights.
Have thought of large heat sinks but the limited size of the headlights limits us on how big they can be so the heat is still stuck in the headlight. The other option would be to make a new headlight. Possibly get with aftermarket source and modify the headlight slightly to be used for our Led's. This may be a possibility, but I would like to stick to this being a swap for internals in a stock headlight. Led's are updating very fast. As soon as they can run cooler/more efficient we will be all set. An alternative may be to run only low beam for those that want it but I would like to offer low/high so you have that extra light if need be. Maybe I will put a set in an aftermarket headlight just to give you an idea of the look. T
I know some are frustrated with how long this is taking but you have to look at what we are working with. Small business budget, other orders, new ideas. If we had Ducati's budget and make a headlight specific for the bike we would have already done this but we don't have those deep pockets. The IT was a huge risk on the business and it worked out. Now is not the time to risk a business on one idea, sorry. I am very conservative with my business and will not risk it on one idea at this time.
If you want us to feel better about making quick decisions get this tool out of office so business's can run the way they are supposed to. You can believe anything you hear but listen to me. Business's are holding back and waiting to see what is going to happen in NOV. If he is not gone you are going to see a lot more changes in the business world. T
A whole new headlight sounds like a good idea since you won't be as confined in space. Seems like that's the way Ducati had to go to keep their new headlight cool enough. I wonder if you designed it with air ports that exited towards the bottom if that would work. Maybe even put heat sink fins inside those air ports. Just a row of LEDs with a port underneath it. It might even look better than stock as far as aesthetics go.

How is this coming? I don't follow politics, so I don't know about the 'tool in office'... is he gone?
I'm planning on working on my bike next week, and upgrade my headlights. If I can't get my hands on this soon I'm probably just going to make my own (decorative headlight, since I can't make real headlights).
