Thanks for the heads up, I'll make a note of the clip ons and see if my guy can do anything about it.
The clip on bar is longer than oem, have you tried to push everything out a little?
The bike only has 3K miles on it, so I don't think I need to do anything yet.
I've heard about the CCT before, but again... It's fine as of right now, so I won't touch it until it starts to be bothersome.
Thanks for the advice, much appreciated!

I personally have never tried it so I don't know how I feel about that until I do but the theory behind it works for me. Again this is just a suggestion.
Maybe try this option if you don't get enough clearance?
BTW I'm still jelly of this build. Wish I had the funds/time/motivation to this to my RR.

3K miles is still near mint, lucky you.
since you're going to use it solely for track purpose you should try putting stoppers on your steering to minimize its movement, you won't be making u-turns at the track. i'll probably be putting the same in my bike if i stop being lazy LOL

We'll see what happens when I get the clip ons on there.
I'll take into consideration, though. Thanks again for all your insight and help!

I will also look into this a bit further.
My next upgrade will definitely be a slipper clutch, my GSX-R comes with one from the factory and I really like it.
Especially knowing I can bang down a couple of gears without locking the wheel.

The question is, Yoyodyne or STM?
i have been tracking for a long long time now & i have grown accustomed to the stock clutch when downshifting rapidly, just takes lots of practice but it's worth it, the feeling of accomplishment is so high when you do it right especially when you outbrake someone with a slipper clutch.
if i had the money i'd get STM because it's tunable, you can replace the diaphragm spring to set the slippage to what you really want.
but for the meantime i suggest you use the money for the slipper clutch for something else more important like tires & trackdays, i don't have a slipper clutch yet but maybe next year if i can save enough money after i pay for my track membership, tires & other spare parts.
Quick q: Is a manual fan switch ideal for this bike?
don't bother, just leave it the way it is, if you can add a secondary radiator like an HRC or similar it won't get hot enough for the fan to activate, i'm even thinking of getting rid of the fan.
Great build, maybe people are just still in awe after you bombarded them with pics of the mods and progress from the get go. Definitely inspired by this build thread. Maybe in the future I would consider some of this hardcore modding but for now it's threads like these that I will watch during my coffee breaks. Keep it up.

Thanks man, I know some people like to post step by step, but I prefer to finish everything before I post a build.
I already knew what I wanted to do and what kind of mods.
However, I did get some great suggestions/info from other posters on here and I truly appreciate it.
^ Yes, I plan on getting the suspension dialed in properly.
A little bit of an update...
I ordered the Woodcraft 48 mm clipons, Woodcraft case sliders, R&G axle sliders, Puig DB screen, Pazzo shorty lever for the RCS and a rad guard.
Now, it's clear that I need the clip ons with 1" rise, because the standard clip ons won't clear the ram air covers, kind of disappointed in myself for not figuring that out in the first place. So I will have them exchanged...
Here are a couple of pictures:
Puig: Not digging the black half, but it will do...
Engine Covers:
Pazzo Lever:
R&G Axle Sliders:
Ohlins: Bike looks retarded with only one clip on, lol.
That's it for now, just have to get my clip ons exchanged... oh, how I hate the wait!
The only two downsides to stock clip-on's one is that you can't just replace the 'bar' if you crash and it bends/breaks. The other is that you don't have the adjustability (forward/backward) to your comfort level. However, you can get the desired adjustability if you grind down the 'locater pins' on the clip-on that go into the top triple.
So if that works for you then sell the woodcrafts and keep a few spare stock ones (left and right). They can be had for cheap.
Bike is looking good and it's going to be a loooonnggg winter!
Mak- You have been giving me lots of reasons to keep spending money and I truly appreciate it... LOL
I'll be exchanging my standard Woodcraft clip ons for the 1" rise and install them when I have the need.
As of right now, the bike is back in my garage and waiting for spring... It's going to be a long winter, indeed.
Re the PUIG screen, mine looks kind of milky and has a light blue tint to it, did anybody else experience this?
I called my supplier and he will exchange it for a Zero Gravity one, just curious... I thought PUIG was good stuff!?

Bike has come a long way. Great to see progress like this finally get completed. I didn't see where you got your decals from? Downat70.com makes awesome OEM decals and aftermarket ones as well. I got two sets of his on two of my bikes and they are awesome because you can pick whatever colors you want.
