read the entire thread
its already been answered
any error light caused will because you didn't put the bike together back right.
the most common is not getting the map back on right since it is bolted to the bottom of the air box and hard to get the hose back on
to answer the question though about performance.
it has an indirect affect.
to get a truly accurate map you have to either do this mod or clamp the hose off or the bike will read lean since it will still be putting fresh air into the exhaust messing with the 02 sensor on the dyno.
if its a street bike just clamp it off
for a track bike where every ounce of weight counts
i pulled off an entire pound of weight by doing this mod. doesnt sound like a lot to those who arent looking for that extra ounce to come off but an entire pound at once for free is incredible
I am thinking of doing this mod but do not want to tear the bike back down to do it since I just got it back together afterinstalling the pc3, wish I would of seen this 1st... but when I was reading the link I noticed the below statement, can any1 go into more detail on it????
While your in their, wouldn't it be better for performance, to go ahead and do the Klean air mod??
I did to my f4i, as well as my friends 600rr for more low end torque, and so I wouldn't have to worry about hydrolocking my motor when I lay it down..
Simply re-route the crankcase breather, to a T-line, that feeds to the pair valve.. That way crankcase gas goes to the exhaust, instead of the intake, increasing low end torque
anyone have pics of the clean air mod on the 600rr? id like to do this to my 05

i did this mod a few nights ago as well as completly stripping the smog stuff out. I love it, while i was at it i did the make your own V stack mod and ram air (resignator delete)

After being in there, this would be very easy, just using the 2 hoses that come from the PAIR system and putting a T-line into the middle hose (crankcase vent) not sure about its effects on power but it would be very easy to do

Got mine done too
DIY - Short velocity stacks,
DIY - Air box mod (removal of resonator),

Reason: fix imagane link
I know, I did the Air box resonator delete.
For the one you are talking about I just removed the bottom resonator and closed the hole.
Still thinking how I'm going to do this mod, thinking about using shrink wrap to close it up. How did you do it ??

i bought the heat shrink thinking it was the way to go but it seemed to be too small, and didnt seal good at all, i ended up going to Orchard supply (home depot, Lowes, yardbirds, plastic places) and got a thin piece of plastic and cut a piece to fit and used 5 minute plastic glue to seal and glue it. this was very easy
still waiting on the block-off plates from I<3mycbr
I seen guys putting a tee between those 3 holes, but your mod seem better to prevent blowby gas (correct me if im wrong) Did you put some pcv valve under that small filter or it is just connected straight to the outlet?
that little filter is awesome!!!... i want!... does anyone know what or where i can get one?
