got hold of one of these,brilliant stand,100 times better than paddock stands imo
i do have paddock stands but this thing is on a different level ,no weight on shock or forks when bike is on stands thru winter ,allows removal of swinging arm whereas rear paddock wont,can remove forks whereas front basic paddock you cant,overall great piece of kit,quality superb and only takes/uses a tiny footprint as opposed to bike been a couple of feet longer when on paddock stands

Probably good for maintenance, but not good for the paddock.

Ash did you get the front lifter thing too? the one that attaches to the swing arm? I just brought that bit but have yet to try it out.

But otherwise i love the stand and when i changed my shock for my ohlins it made the job so easy as it decompressed the shock.

Also its much sturdier for long term storage but as MikeyP mentioned in the paddock and getting the rear up quickly nothing beats a rear paddock stand

hi ahmedf,no i didnt buy the other bit,for time been i just put it up on stand and then just lent on rear to lift front a fraction and put a small piece of timber under bottom of fork leg to keep both wheels off the deck
tbh i find it only takes 30 secs to a min to get up on stand,no doubt you can do it in 2secs with paddock stand but the sturdyness is nice and ease of putting it up in air
touch wood ive not dropped bike putting it on paddock stands but know plenty who have
anyway ye its a good bit of kit and theres quite a few other accessories you can get as well isnt there
might get that bit youve got in future,let us know how you get on with it

i will do for sure, as on another forum a couple of people have said they have found it extremely hard to get the front up using their new front lifter thingy so it got me a bit worried.

i just put mine on the stand ahmedf and went to back of bike put foot on cotton reel and applied bit of weight,front wheel came off ground and got mate to put piece of timber under fork leg,or even easier if id been on my own,just go to front wheel lift it a fraction and prop front fork leg

however the only thing is, the front lifter thingy, for long periods of time would keep the rear shock compressed more than what the natural weight of the bike would be on a say a paddock stand. but for maintenance would be ideal especailly when working near the front!

So i dont think i will be using it to store the bike on for long periods. For that i would use the abba with maybe my headstock stand

if so that pulls down on the swing arm dosent it by looks of things so wont compress rear
