I've ridden in temps down to about 30. I'll wear my riding jacket with a windproof (winter) jacket over it. I'll only do this if I'm sick of taking the car, there is no precipitation, and the roads haven't been salted. Once salt hits the roads for the winter, the bike is done until spring time and it rains twice to wash away the salt. Keep in mind at these temps I'm taking the bike strictly for commuting.
If I'm riding for fun, 60 degrees and sunny is my lower cut off.

I found my cutoff is around the 29 mark. Anything else is fair game dont mind the rain at all. Ive even been caught in light snow. Snows not the big issue i hate all the fuqing salt all over the roads days after the snow is gone

I haven't seen another sportbike in months! Just the occasional hardcore older guy on his Harley.
Though come a couple weeks into jan...the bikes will start flying out by feb, ready for the summer fairies who then, when you finally have good weather to ride in race about clogging the roads up and cutting you up on the inside of a blind left bend....that f&cker still annoys me, just the thought of him
I like to ride to work but any chance of rain or ice will scare me away pretty quickly. I work nights so it's the ride home that's cold, lowest so far has been 29F.
I'd say my limit is mid 30's just because I'm scared of the ice. Surprisingly, my Dainese jacket with the thermal liner is plenty warm at those temps.
I live in FL so I can ride year round, but if there is any mention of rain I ride my cage. I95 in the rain with old people is not safe. It is hard with nice weather.
Depends on if I'm just trying to get around or if I'm going out for an extended ride. I won't ride to work in the morning if its under 50. It's not worth the time to bundle up to ride for 5 minutes.
Living in Monterey right now b/c of the army. Ride everyday to work. Usually in low 40's around 630 but we'll worth the ride home at about 430 when temps are around 55-60. Usually all I ride with is a. "waffle top", under my uniform jacket and a pair of winter gloves.

That waffle stuff is way better than regular thermals. My brother just got out of the army last month and I raided his cold weather stuff. I wear the "waffle bottom" or "silk weight" under my jeans and knee guards. The waffle does a good job even when it's mid 30's. And that army fleece sweater is pretty good, very warm. The cool part is that it was all brand new with tags, lol, my brother never used any of it.

Haha at least you get to raid the good stuff. Better than the stuff I was ever issued back in 2005. Heck yeah it is better than thermals. Yeah I never used it until I got here, and had to buy a pair. I Never thought it would get in the 30's here in the winter. But the waffle and big fleece do the job.

This guy rides everyday. Rain, sleet or snow. I havnt road in 2 or 3 months from the cold. Anything less than 50-55°. If i had the right cold weather gear it would be more in colder weather.
i ride anything above 40F... anything below that there is a chance of ICE ...slight but still possible. but then again, it was 0 the other night when i go back from snowmobiling so 40 is like a sauna to me. And for you guys that say anything less than 60 i say ........haha, j/k.
but i seriously find it almost more enjoyable with the temps in the 50s. bike runs awesome, fully geared without the heat side-effect. goodtimes....
