I ordered the fairing today that has the turn signal in it. My receipt from the stealership says
COWL SET R (TYPE1 P/N 64500-MFJ-A30ZB
I know the color is described at a matte silver/black in the computer system. Can I ask where you are trying to order from? Cause from my experience the places I looked did not have 08 fairings you could over. Your best bet would be to call the place you're ordering from and ask them.

I'm going to call the dealer and find out now, from the looks of the discussions here all "Type1" cowls are for the Graffiti.
In the meantime, can someone post up what (TYPE1), (TYPE4), (TYPE5), and (TYPE6) correspond to in terms of colorschemes? (Graffiti, Orange, Silver, Red)?
Just got off the phone with my dealer and they haven't gotten the 08 fiche updates yet. He did enlighten me and let me know that the last two letters of a part number are not consistent for a particular colorscheme.
For example (only), if we were pretending to be looking for the 07 blue/silver stuff, and we saw parts ending in ZJ and assumed they were ALL for the blue/silver bike, we'd be wrong. Per my parts guy there can be different "codes" for the same color scheme--it all depends upon which part!
^^^ Not the paint code, but the actual parts numbers. It's a huge pain in the @ss (currently) to find the right ones.
yea the part numbers and paint code dont match.. they say like type 1 type 4 and **** like that.. im having a hard time.. i even email my local honda dealership and didnt even answer me which type goes to which color

Thread resurrection, since I am buying replacement Graffiti fairings, and found this thread while Google-ing part numbers.
Type 1 is Graffiti. Referring to fairings with decals already attached.
The "Mark Stripe" numbers do not correspond with the "types." Mark Stripe numbers are for individuals that are replacing decals only. Graffiti is "Mark Stripe 6"
The "COWL B, R. *NH303M* (MAT AXIS GRAY METALLIC) 64320-MFJ-D00ZB"
is graffiti color because (almost?) all the '08s had a mid with a Graffiti color, but a "CBR Racing" decal, and not the Graffiti decal.
Actual Graffiti mid is "COWL SET, R. (TYPE1) 64500-MFJ-A30ZB."
Color code does end in ZB, which is Mat Axis Grey Metallic, but the "Type 1" indicates it has the correct decals.
So the left mid (with the turn signal) would be left mid cowl right? type 1 with the stickers?

So I have an 08 Graffiti and if need to replace the fairings I can't for the life of me find the correct fairing and graffiti decals. Anybody have any luck?
since its already been bumped...is there confermation that the graffitis base color is indeed Mat Axis Gray??? im painting the race bike and was just gunna spray it black...but wouldnt mind having twins ;)
Discovered that "Graffiti" upper cowl (front fairing) is not referred to as "Type 1," although all other "Graffiti" fairings are listed as "Type 1."
My guess is that since "Type 1" refers to decals, and "Graffiti" bikes have no decals on the upper cowl, they used that terminology to refer to the bikes with decals on the upper.
So, all "Graffiti" fairings/cowling are "Type 1," except for the upper cowl/front fairing.
