New Bike, Dealer mods, and vortex rearsets *Update: LSL Sliders, ASV Levers, Puig DB*

So my old 2007 600rr was stolen in June unfortunately; insurance gave me about $1800 over the top bc of some of the mods i put on. I've been missing riding a motorcycle, so 2 days ago i ended up buying a blue/silver '07 brand-new from Honda of Charlotte. I've put about 200 miles on it since, just casual riding, and installed Vortex rearsets. The dealer made some mods to it (+ Lojack..thank God), and I just ordered techspec skins, an LSL crash kit, ASV levers, and a smoke Puig DB. I'm also planning on installing the Vortex rear sprocket, silver Carrozzerias, and Pirelli DC3's that I have at my house.

I'm excited to be back in the game...Let me know what you guys think!

Dealer Mods:
Arrow Full GP-Style Exhaust
Targa Fender Eliminator
Lockhart Phillips Flush Mounts
HRC Solo Cowl
Power Commander III

My Mods (so far):
Vortex Rearsets

Wow, great pick up. I haven't seen a bike roll of the showroom looking like that. +1 On the Integra in the background, way to keep the caged rides in the Honda family

Good looking bike but I am not a fan of the GP side AND undertail exhaust. Both look good by themselves but not together IMO.

i really want to see what that exhaust looks like on a bike w/ no passenger pegs, and no tail light on it.
i think it could look sweet, but the GP look is ruined by all that lame stock stuff.

looks good, unique exaust and having a full its just nice period. glad u got another bike i hope u didnt get raped on the price because the dealer modded it.

i worked at a dealership and on the decked bikes they always tried to get some coin off the service and retail parts.

LSL Slider Install

So I bought the LSL Sliders and received them a couple days ago.

Quality seems pretty good, I also like the way they look...

Right Side
1. Remove engine bolts

2. Put 12mm spacer + 50mm bolt on top hole through the mounting bracket

3. Put 40mm bolt through mounting bracket and 3mm spacer

4. Put 35mm bolt in bottom hole of mounting bracket.

5. Assemble slider by putting spacer in and making sure the plastic LSL piece is in the opposite direction of driving direction (towards the rear).

6. Put 25x40mm bolt through slider, 10mm spacer, & mounting bracket and tighten to 35Nm or 25lb/ft

Left Side
1. Remove engine bolts.

2. Put 6x35mm bolt through adaptor plate.

3. Put 2 6x40mm bolts through mounting bracket.

4. Assemble left side slider just like the right side (25x70mm bolt through slider, 40mm spacer) and tighten to 35Nm or 25 lb/ft.

Completed Product

All in all, about 15-20 min of work. And i suck at mechanical stuff

ASV C/5 Levers

ASV c/5 lever install

Clutch Side

1. Undo the lockbolt and unscrew the pivot bolt screw on the top of the clutch lever assembly. Remove the old lever by pulling out the clutch cable with pliers.

2. Use loctite and screw in the neutral killswitch tab.

3. Put the bushing in the lever

4. Place clutch cable in the new lever, line the bushing up with the screw, screw in, and put the lockbolt, torquing to ~60 inch/lb

yeah i am going to have to agree with everyone else here.
lose the exhaust or gain an extra cylinder.

the gp bikes use that dual exhaust due to 5 cylinders.
on an inline 4 it just adds weight.

since its an arrow chance are you can sell it and get enough to buy an entire new one.

still its your bike, like it? ride it.

The bike looks great, I also have the asv levers and the vortex rearsets, nice.
The exhaust looks good too, it's a change from the stuff you see everyday.

PS. Take the pillion pegs off, you'll be surprised how it'll clan the bike up. I take it you don't pillion, as you have the rear cowl fitted. Even if you do, you can fit the pegs back on in about 30 seconds ...
