Alternative to 03-06 taillight,Iwin,Jneer taillight

Wanting to know those that have one of these lights if you are happy with it and will continue to use it or are wanting something that fits, looks great, and functions? Want to get opinions of everyone who owns an 07-09RR. We have a design plan for a taillight, but with this design will come with some pretty high cost on our part to get it done. With times the way they are I hope you understand where I am coming from on this. Hard to make a break neck decision on this without your help. The light will be perfect, no air bubbles not made in a bucket and grinded on ect. Clean perfect fit light with led board made by us using our led's. No brackets to hold in place. If you have your undertray already cut across the middle hole this will work. No seat modifying at all. Put the light in plug in the quick connections and hook up your tag light to the extra quick connection and put the tail back on. It will be this simple. Can't quote a price but will most likely be more than the Iwin "Iwin $189+shipping at this time". I can tell you the quality will be 10 fold better as well. Don't want sympathy votes that you will buy even though you know you won't. Honest truth. Please place your honest vote if this is something you would be willing to purchase. Clear and smoked lens will be the options, all lights will come with integrated signals. If you don't want signals on don't hook them up. Strobe/flashing brake light is something we are considering but not sure if the added cost are wanted by all, might be an option. Will keep this up for the whole month. If you know other riders on other forums or not on forums add their vote. As always thanks. T

Here's my take on it. As a current Tripage 03-06 taillight owner, I'm already happy with the product but would probably one of the first guys to buy it. Until the current models have a radical redesign, your market is still pretty wide open T, Honda is still producing a lot of 600RR's. Given your track record of quality products and great service....this sounds like a winner to me. If its trick, and programmable with various functions and options..I think you will sell a lot of them.

I voted: Yes, I am wanting a taillight that fits other than Iwin,jneer,03-06 taillight

I'd be glad to be the first install

I checked Other for the simple reason that I'm of two opinons on this.

I love my sequential red lensed modded CA tail BUT I also am interested in a better fitting tail (would love not to have to fight to get the solo cover to slip on) but I don't wanna lose the sequential feature (I like the added attention grabber of it).... I am interested tho, I would love to see a red lens option (I like the red on red undertail I have going now).

Yes! im with Chris...i want that option too.
ill even put half the price down as a deposit to secure a spot for a taillight!...if you consider making these.

all i care for is brake function (highly visible), better fitment, i dont need the integrated sigs (use my own separate signals), ease of use (disconnecting and reconnecting for track conversions) and quality.

so im all in for your idea Trip.

Will install as many led's as possible for the space we have in the light. Plug n play for connections, flasher relay to slow flash rate. Fit will be perfect, will look like it was meant to go in the tail.

I've been waiting for something that fits right and looks good, seems to be a lot of people still interested in what jneer, iwin had going, but in a better quality. Depending on the final price I'd say you'd get a lot of people interested. I for sure am interested, but they way things are I'm not sure how much I'd be able to spend right now either. But it'd definitely be my next mod

I would definitely buy it if it were sequential like the CA TL I bought from you. I've spent $425 on mirrors and $350 on taillights. What's another $200 bones if the fitment is better.

I voted other, but my only reasoning is that I just bought the new volar you are selling and haven't even got to install it yet, so buying another one so soon is an on the fence decision. I would love the better fit, and very importantly the ease of connection and disconnect. I'm sure it would do well, especially if the fit for the 09 is the same.

I vote YES I just spent alot of money with T and I can tell you what the work is the best hands down. Im very satisfied with my products but I would buy a new taillight that fits better no messy wires and splices so on so on. The rear seat is what bugs me the most. Ill be second in line to buy the new taillight!!!!!!!!

DO IT !!!!

i voted yes as well.... ive been contemplating to get rid of my stock fender... however the fe i want is like 300 bucks... w/o signals... as someone posted above, just a nice bright brake light.. and i have other ideas for flush mount rear signals that can be detachable for future track days. but most def. i will also buy some led pegs from T as soon as i get some more monies.. cuz it would never hurt to have a lil more lights to be visible especially at night times... visible as in.. from the back, sides, and front. c'mon T i know you got some nice idea in the works... i cant wait!!!!

I would buy one. I was going to get a 03-06 light until I found out how much jerking around it took to fit it.

If it fit perfect. I would buy it.

Oh screw u T!!
I have purchased 2 taillights from u already including a cut-up one to fit into my aftermarket fairings and now you tell me that you are willing to make a perfect fit, amazing TRIPAGE quality taillight?!?

Why,oh why did u not do this earlier?Sigh...I guess im gonna hafta wait for your custom taillight to come out and purchase one of them as well

Whatever you come up with is definitely gonna be way better than iwin or jneer or whatever.I would definitely be willing to buy it and pay extra for braking patterns as well..

BTW,if u decide to go ahead with this project, when would you be releasing your taillight??

If this happens we will have as much on hand as possible. As far as not doing this earlier, this is thousands upon thousands of dollars to produce. Companies can go out of business by taking a risk on one product. Would love to spend cash on all the ideas we have but have to take each idea in stride and see what the cost will be to us to make or have it made, demand, final price. Have built some contacts that we hope we can work with in the future to get some more ideas out that we have had for awhile now. Thanks for the feedback so far. T

so if the demand was high enough and you decided to go for it, what would the timeframe be for these to start rolling out your door? That would probably be a big determining factor, especially people looking for the right light and willing to wait. if they are looking now, would they wait 6 months? just my $.02. I think a tail light made to fit would be awesome though.

We are at a stand still till we see where the polls goes. Taillight is designed, just needs to be cut for jig and sent off for molding. Boards will be printed and led's installed while waiting on taillights "1 month for this". Can guess and say 3 months till they are rolling out. Not sure how many can be made at one time yet, this is what's going to determine how many are made at one time, if we are only going to have 20-50 at time or 250-500 at a time. Once final product is ready I can get an answer from the makers. Will keep everyone in the loop as far as when they will be available, quantities, price, colors etc...
Will have a working unit before everything is finished to show what the final looks like. Start to finish install video.

We would not be going through the effort of this if we didn't think it was worth it. 03-06 fits O.K for a taillight that is not meant for the bike. This light will look like Honda should have done it. Big bright and beautiful...... Poll is looking great. Would like to see this hit a couple hundred by the end of the month. We will keep at what we can until the poll is over and give our final word. Keep the post coming, want to keep this on the "new post" so others can view and vote. T

T you have to think about outsourcing the product as well, and maybe taking the poll on this website not so seriously... I mean, if you do create this product, you will be essentially be the first one with a correct, flush fitment TL that has been in demand for some time. Ebay, Aftermarket parts stores, Honda forums, they all will most likely jump on the mod if its easy.

just like everyone would be jumping on the Audi led mod if it were easy.

deliver it, and it will sell wonderfully IMO
