Kmh to Mph?

Hi,

Can anyone help?

I know on some models you can change from Kmh to Mph or vice versa by holding down 1 of the buttons on the Gauge cluster, but if you can't do it this way, is there any other way of doing this without removing and replacing the Gauge cluster/Speedo?

Or is it a case of getting a new Mph gauge cluster/ Speedo?

Cheers For Any Help.

Nothing has happened to the button, but having read the manual and from my understanding there is 2 versions of the gauge/speedo, My bike is an 03, and the button the manual tells you to press has no effect, that's why i was wondering if there is any other way around this, OR should all gauges/speedo be able to switch between Kmh/Mph?

it could also be that his little piece that goes under the rubber button came loose. happened on my 03 a few times. if that's the case, then just pull the button off, use a then piece of plastic, switch it to mph, then reinsert the button. there's a write up on a fix for this. i think it's in the DIY section.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for your replies, As Shuwa suggested the white plastic bit beneath the rubber button had come off, so tried pushing the button with a bit of plastic but it did not work, managed to replace the white plastic bit so the rubber reset button works fine now but i still cannot change it from Kmh to Mph, My bike is an Australian RR, but some time down the line i may be returning to the UK (and want to take it with me)thats why i want to be able to change it to Mph, in the owners handbook and hopefully i am understanding it correctly it says " Speed and Mileage unit change (E type only)" E type being a UK bike, My OZ bike is a " U "type so i don't think i can change the reading over, so does anyone know of any other way around this, as said before surely all units should be able to switch between readings, once again thanks for any help>
