you put all 4 in didnt you...... :bitchslap: now you can tell us what happens. But really, dont start it and drive it around if you put all four in. Make sure you have the CORRECT amount in there.
Wel.. Umm.. you see.. it was like.. umm.. Yeah i put all 4 in. *bowse head down in shame* it starts up fine and rode fine. should i let some of that oil out?
Yes!!! to much oil is bad not enough room for the oil to expand. I fill mine so when you look at the oil sight glass with the bike off the stand there is a little bubble at the top.
NEXT TIME USE YOUR OWNERS MANUAL OR JUST ASK BEFORE HAND IM ALLWAYS WILLING TO HELP IF I CAN.

holy shite yes! let out enough to fill up one of those containers. it takes 3 quarts almost to the drop.
I put 3 quarts in, ran it for a few minutes then shut it off. Then let it sit to drain back to the sump. It was low, I added until it was just shy of the upper mark. It was exactly 3 liters (a little more than 3 quarts). So if you get oil marked a liters, dump 3 in, done. If you get them as quarts, buy 4 and that 4th quart will last you several oil changes.
lol... a lot of people at shops and dealers tell people to get 4qts, because thats how much liter bike need, so i guess they assume all bike need 4qts.
try reading the owners manual, before u change your oil next time.
O i go buy oil. and they gave me 4 do i put them all in? or just 3 1/2?

Hurricane, F2, F3 all take 4qts. Every bike is different. My 929 takes about 3.75....
good that you're trying your own maintanence, but do research what you are doing. and if you don't know already, there is a sight glass on the right side because this bike doesn't have a dipstick. there's a link for a downloadable PDF, of this owners manual, I don't know what it is but hopefully someone who reads this will.
