I don't get into it or that music. In fact, never heard of it till now, BUT DAMN... That first guy was pretty talented, impressive stuff. It reminds me of the old 80's break dance moves just slowed way the hell down.

Is it just my friends who know nothing about dubstep suddenly become obsessed and self-proclaimed dubstep lovers after hearing skrillex? I know of quite a few...really annoying.

Hahaha my friend introduced me to dubstep. Skrillex was like the 4th artist i heard. I really only like 2 of their songs.

Its like that kid in school who is really annoying but just wants to be cool so lil wayne is his favorite artist.

If you liked that clip, because of the music, the tracks featured are available for free download by the artist.

Haha. So you're not the only one seeing that too? Dubstep is getting really mainstream and the people who never even heard of it are now hardcore fans a week later. It is really annoying. And deadmau5 dubstep???? Besides raise your weapon the mouse is mainly house.

Listen to some donald glaude, rusko, Nero, skrillrex, 12th planet to name a few if you like wobbly bass. As for me. I'm down with the house music. Something you can dance to instead of just bobbing your head and waving your hands.

Oh I know all about the mau5, I know he's not dubstep. He's my number 1 artist. And yeah dubstep is cool (some) but house music is where it's at.

You sound like a Hipster.

If people want to like a music after hearing one of the most mainstream "well known" ones then let them? I never have understood why people hate on people for getting into something after hearing one of the "popular" artists of that Genre.

Plus, Skrillex attracts a different segment of fans. Not a whole lot of people who listened to Sonny Moore when he was in From First to Last (Read: SCREAMO) would really be or ever think they would be listening to dubstep or really electronic in general but checked it out when they heard thats what he had moved onto.

If people liking bands helps "Your scene", whatever that may be, get larger and more recognition, I just cant see that as bad...

Also QFT! Who cares what or who got them into the genre of music? If they help support it and it continues to grow then I consider that a success.

BTW -- deadmau5 is just as "cool/scene/hip" as skrillex. Not sure I get your point @Neptune.

Whaaaa I'm no hipster! Haha. I just noticed it among some of my friends. And it's a little irritating when they bash other artists because they don't sound like Skrillex. I can dig most genres of electronic. But I wasn't trying to hate on the scene getting bigger or more successful. Not sure I really had a point. I was just posting something from my experience. Good day errybody!
