It was a HORRIBLE movie. The problem was the hype that all of the Alien fan-boys gave it. If they would have kept their ******* mouths shut and let people realize what was happening, it would have been much better.
More than anything, this is a prequel to a prequel. My dad is a big SciFi fan so I paid for all of us to see this, he wanted to pay me back for that ****.

To each there own, but I thought it was good. Will watch it again.
Im not big into the "Alien" movies, so I didnt read the hype...but saying overall as a storyline of where the human race came from, it was refreshing to see something different.
I was huge into the Alien movies when I was a kid (was 13 when Aliens came out). This was originally going to be a full-blown prequel but from what I heard the storyline changed and they only kept some elements of the original. I guess I was more disappointed in the storyline than the actual movie which was cool, but they gave way too much away in the trailer.
Heard a lot of things about it already, being pessimistic means I'm seldom disappointed.
I agree.
Not meaning to swerve away from the thread. But if you haven't seen "Silent Hill". Check it out.
One of my all time favorite movies. Part 2 is in theaters.
