So I'm visiting a Dainese outlet tomorrow because I've discovered they have the Draken and Trickster in 2-piece suits in my size. I'm very short and need the smaller versions. Both suits are the same price and I'll go for whatever one fits best. However, if both are equally good, does anyone have any opinions on choosing one over the other? Any advice would be appreciated.
If neither work well, I'll be going for a Spidi I saw here in the city because it feels very good. The only problem is that the pants are a little long and I'd need a new pair of boots due to my abnormally large calves - the Spidi is a little more expensive because it's from a regular shop (not an outlet), but the leather is very soft and it feels quite comfortable. Very good fit aside from the length of the legs, which is acceptable if I can put them outside a boot.
I'll also be asking about pants only and 1-pieces, but was looking for a 2-piece so I can use the jacket separately in colder weather with overpants.
Here are some pics for reference - as far as I know, this is what they should look like:
Dainese Trickster 2-piece
Dainese Draken 2-piece
Spidi (can't remember the name, but I think it's the RR Wind Pro based on what I could find online - here's a shot of the 1-piece, which has a very similar design to what I remember - can't find a pic of the 2-piece that I can link so here's the 1):
trickster is kangaroo just in case you didn't know.
Yeah, thanks, I saw that, but was wondering if this version might not be because the price is quite low compared to what I've seen it sold for elsewhere.
Update: Got the Trickster 2-piece. It's cowhide, but very soft and comfortable. I went with a size 50 in the end. The jacket fits perfectly and the pants are comfortable, but a little long. About 1 inch from waist to knee and 1 inch from knee to ankle, but I can just close them up around my A*s Supertechs and the knee protection sits in the right place. The slider's probably a little low, but I'll move it up a bit. In any case, I'm not planning on getting a knee down anytime soon and wanted the suit for good protection and mobility more than anything else. The pants feel very good sitting on a bike and the knee protection is in the right position, partially because the tightness of the calves keeps it in place.
Tried on the size 25 in the Trickster and Draken. This is basically a short 50 (40 US, I guess). The Trickster pants were almost impossible to close even without the boots so I didn't even bother trying the jacket; the Draken pants worked, but the jacket couldn't be closed. I'm 5'3", 150lbs. These short sizes are made for people of my height, but are very hard to get into if you have muscle (or fat... or a combination).

hmm interesting I know i'm dragging up old thread but not much on .net about the draken 2 peice, the laguna seca has too much white for me, i've emailed motowheels about the difference between the short and long version, i always associated trickster with stunt riders wanting 2 peice leathers isntead of trainers and shirt for once, but i guess i'm wrong?
either way i'm trying them on if i can find them in advance, can't afford them now, unless i don't get an arata slipon...which i really want :P and i already have the RST below in my sig BUT, they're slightly loose, which is annoying....i'm 5'9 and 145lbs there about...more like halfway from 5'9 to 5'10 BUT(another but) i've got south african broad shoulders...which makes it hard to find things that fit good...some fitted t-shirts start to look like a girls top due to my shoulders LOL my shoulders go into the sleeves making them short...

I don't think there's a connection necessarily - it's got a one-piece version as well as the 2-piece. I've finally started using the pants with the jacket now that the temperature's come down here and it's really comfortable. There are some ridiculous pics of me in it here so you can see it from other angles. Looks mostly black from up front, but white from the sides. I'm totally satisfied with it and the leather is so much better (softer and easier to ride in, anyway) than my A*s TZ-1 jacket. Try them all on because I found quite a lot of difference in fit.
