A woman driving a mini-cooper was able to chase down two bikers on vespas, after they have allegedly stole her purse from her car while in traffic, and threatened her with a knife.
one of the thieves died instantly as a result of the crash, and the other lost his life after hours of struggling in the hospital.
I'd like to try and argue that she maybe didn't mean to kill them, but instead just get the purse back.....but look at that picture. She's on top of the vespa

is the justice system going to pay her back what she lost in her purse in case they managed to escape? im sure killing someone wasn't her intention, but she needed to stop them one way or another.

The criminal justice system doesn't work. The criminals know how to work the system and usually continue robbing and stealing without ever doing much, or any, time in jail. They simply are not scared of the punishments they may get. If more people started imposing their own brands of justice, maybe these assholes will think twice before trying to rob someone.

This happened in Lebanon, lots of thefts happen here, and the justice system is just weak, I dont know if you have heard but the country is always going through a lot of crap, and sadly small robberies like this is something the people have managed to live with as there are more severe and threatening issues happening over here. everyone is armed and I am amazed at this woman's courage as the thieves could have easily been carrying a gun.
Im sure if this was in the states, the police would give it enough importance and find a way to get the thieves behind bars, and I dont think un-registered vespas exist in general, am i right ? and so no she shouldnt have done the same in the states
Yes granted those guys were probably scum bags but there are more ways to deal with the situation than what happened here. Running someone over for a stolen purse to me isn't justifiable but if they killed someone in the process, then I would say eye for an eye for sure.

They should follow up and see what the other guy things about the situation and the outcome. Maybe he has changed his views on praying on innocent people.
hahaaa ya build quality here is soo much better :p and this vespa has been probably rebuilt a million times, and been in a 100 crashes, after it has been imported from japan like 15 years ago
bikers in this country really amaze me, yesterday I saw a biker towing another bike, the rider of the malfunctioning bike had his foot on the swingarm/footpeg of the front bike, and neither of the bikes had a license plate, neither of the riders were wearing their gear, not even helmets. they were going slow on the highway though :p

Good for her. Everything comes with a risk and if you want to pursue being a thief then death is a possibility. I used to stay in an apt. and 2 guys tried to break in to this old woman's house, well she heard them and was standing in front of the door with a shotgun. As soon as they kicked down the door, bam. Guess what...no more robberies in that apt complex again. Bet if enough ppl get ran over my old ladies, ppl would think twice of taking advantage of granny
They had it coming, karma finally caught up with them... How long would it take for these two to up their game and start robbing houses or robbing people at gun point instead with a knife?? How long until one of them would kill someone because the person fought back...sorry but I'm not going to lose any sleep tonight because a couple crooks got what was coming to them

They start off robbing purses, then they move on to robbing bikes. Now theres 2 less scum bag criminals we have to worry about paying for their time in the hotel they call prison, or worrying about stealing our bikes or assualting women. Much better than the america's "justice" system IMO.
