Cool The beginning :)

I've now ordered;

R&G front fork protectors

Renthal front sprocket

Renthal rear sprocket

DID 525ZVMX chain

Michelin Pilot Power 2CT tyres(honda dealers ordered them really, they'll be fitted 08 sept)

Ferodo brake pads(front set and rear)

Galfer wave rotor(front set and rear)

(Also ordered an HJC R-PHA 10 Ben spies replica helmet...can't wait already tried one on in person fits great, twice my current helmets value)

but now with waiting ages for honda, and it's the 4th dealer i contacted to even get my work booked what I've done is only book in to get the tyres done, I'm gonna increase that to any of the above that haven't gone on BUT I'm hoping to do as much as I can as possible

so I will need;

DID KM500 chain breaker/riveter
Front paddock stand(gonna go oxford, have a rear stand from them, very good highly rated)

Rhinomoto Chain aligment tool(below)

the first two I can get fine but you americans seem to be lucky as the chain aligment tool i want is rhinomoto's axelign tool(no UK dealers), the way they're aligning off the frame means it'll be straighter than any dealer i go to here, so I consider it and the chain breaker and stand sound investments(had a chain breaker that fell apart first go when i was in africa, but never had an alignment tool and front stand) the alignment tool will also make chain adjustments possible as at the moment i won't take the rear wheel off untill i know i can get it back on to 99.9% alignment since I'm an&l like that...100% right or go home

changing chain/sprockets i've already done in the past as i had a single sided swingarm RVF and adjustment was a breeze(despite that i don't like single sided swingarms to look at)

So what you guys think of the tools? I'm thinking it's a good investment just get them, problem with the rhinomoto tool is that I can't get it in the UK, i've emailed rhinomoto as their site buggers up when i try checkout to united kingdom(tried using england as well, no dice), any other places i can get it from?(emailed AF1 racing already)

looks like this;

as you see the rods are straight and they align perfect to show the angle of the wheel and the angle of the frame...and then you simple measure each side and make sure the rods are same distance apart on each side, meaning the accuracy is only limited by your means of measuring that distance...and we have the required holes in the 600rr...so i want this tool, much better than the honda dealers locally are using, stupid order form not working is pissing me off lol...

Have you tried calling them? Might be the best bet.
I really like the idea of the alignment tool, is it worth the money though? Couldn't you make one?

Looking at the Rhinomoto site, they seem to have some decent prices for axle sliders.

lol, wait till you hear I'm removing more expensive Brembo T-Drive discs that are still good to put them on :D

Since also got stainless steel pro bolt brake disc bolts for the rotors, ordered the front stand and some loctite as well and i've taken the plunge and ordered the alignment tool, i think yes i could make something less accurate but those cones hold the rods perfect and are well machined, i couldn't replicate that by myself, it's also made to last so i'll see when it gets here

the helmet is awesome, got pinlock in there as well to stop it fogging which i don't think i could ride in the UK with a light smoke visor if i didnt, soon as any tint fogs up it's hard to see bugger all nvm at night(although it wasn't too bad at night with the light smoke visor..definitely wouldnt go with a dark visor at night

haven't paid for the tyres and fitting yet(they're set at the minute to do the rear pad/disc/chain and sprockets too so that'll cost me, might have to hold off buying things till that expensive is delt with and see if anything left for a carbon fibre leo vince

(P.S. This money came from being hit by a bus, the fortunate thing is to be walking first, i don't consider the money the fortune as i'd rather not have been hit! Since I'm all good it's nice though!)

Since posting all that still haven't paid for the tyres yet, but I did go ahead and buy the front stand and axel alignment tool(coming from america hopefully gets here this week) but the 2CT tyres will get fitted this saturday, and I've fitted the front pads, discs and fork protectors myself(first time) and i cleaned all the mudguard area and wheel before refitting(might as well, you're in there anyway) and re-greased the axel bolt and all the calipre bolts/pins with copper grease just like honda to and torqued them up, also fitted the stainless pro-bolt disc bolts too, sadly rounded 1 or 2 as had a **** allen key 3/8 drive attachment(since got a better one since they're cheap)

brakes are bedding in to the galfers nicely! (took it slow initially but don't really focus on it anymore now since i did over 100miles first ride with the galfers on lol)

True ...but after not going out with my gf long I spent a bit on lots of driving lessons for her, and she passed first time so got in the good books early

Yea one big difference in it is not only how light it is(I had a 2011 helmet prior but still over 200g saved in weight, i got a free pinlock insert, thats been a dream, doesn't fog with my breath, it'll still try to when it's really cold so the test will be in winter but it's good so far! Also I went for the red one as it's rarer, oxford imported these and they never did the red one :D

I wish, my family is south england(brother), africa(parents) and extended family is all over the world(africa, canada, USA I think etc) so I'm by myself, more than half my wage is rent and food straight away...sucks, all this is injury payout and I've still got some left :) Leo vince anyone? :D (that in my opinion though would have to include a tail tidy to clean it up at the same time, as well as a remap for the power commander thats under the hood since its currently mapped to the stock exhaust)

Here's bike as it stands now;

lmao yea carbon fibre look tax disc, for anyone wanting to copy the postitioning who also has removed the passenger pegs you need to bend it out like the pegs are which I've done to make sure it'll never interfere with the swingarm...easy though most of them bend

even if you're vehicle is taxed in the UK there is a law that can get you fined 60 for not displaying...so I do it, if I'm ever caught being a naughty girl I don't want to give them any more reasons than they have(or more likely as has been so many times with still a clean licence is that they stop me for nothing and look for any excuse) my mods are insured as well so they can't pull that one either :) it's the worst nightmare isn't it pretty much no cops know bikes well, but i don't want to meet the one that does someday, seen some youtube vloggers meet one...went over the bike with a fine tooth comb!

lol...have you seen our number plates? i've got the legal one on mine there you should be able to see the square shape, one day when I get a tail tidy you'll see it clearer but it's 9x7, i was thinking get one done up as 8x6 as the police eye wouldn't be able to tell from far off but i don't know where to get them done, as they arn't legal i'm wondering about going around asking for who does illegal plates...but then again you see so many mini plates where the reg is on 1 line which isn't legal either...

BUT to the brembo's yes they're on sale, currently at 99pence no reserve, not sure how good, don't have anything to measure thickness

Edit: Not sure about pro-like brake bedding since I don't have extensive bedding experience but my brakes are just about bedded in after 150miles of street riding, remembering brand new pads to brand new discs so thats normal riding as well, also the axelign tool should be arriving soon, paid VAT and schedualed for delivery tomorrow!

Cheers!

15.99 delivered (first place I've looked)

Found another place only 13.50, what you guys reckon I should get along the bottom? Dealers usually put their name, I could put '600RR.NET' ?

Show Plates

I use a seller on eBay (djhplates). I have a 7" x 5" plate and never had any problems with it. The lettering and layout is only a little bit smaller than the legal requirement so it goes unnoticed. The seller dispatches pretty much the same day you place the order with free postage and the plate is only 6.50.

Other sizes available from the seller are 8" x 6" and 9" x 7" and all include a choice of border and text.

I'm running a 7x5 in a standard font as it doesn't look too small....haven't been stopped yet. (mine cost 7.50 delivered from ebay)

Having a custom wording at the bottom will make it stand out more though, as it's not legal. I'd go with nothing, or a post code for less pullability.

Not a fan of the tax position personally. I think it looks better hidden out of the way, and an tail tidy would clean up the rear end SO much. I have an Evotech tail tidy on mine.

Lovely helmet choice....I wanted the Spies one, but couldn't afford it so have the same model in black and gold....I also have pin lock anti fog and tinited visor that I wear day and night.
