Nice but how about the video quality. Everything seem to be 25% - 30% less makes me wonder if video is also 30% less? It would be nice to see a commercial of it in action.

imo honestly only a camera/video expertise can tell the quality difference between the hero 2 and the Hero 3. cause i think quality wise it looks just like the hero 2.
i notice something aobut that Gopro vid!! it all involves something that can kill you !!
Such an incredible piece of technology... I'm always amazed at their advertisements. That whole thing was full of win.
Totally agreed their advertising department are working overtime. I wish the GoPro official site would sell products to Australia, we get charged an extra $100 for the motor sport package :(
I'm not making professional movies and everything I've done, whether it was on watercraft or motorcycles (even at night) has turned out fantastic.
This isn't a justification for my purchase either - I just think GoPro really screwed up making something so good the first go around ;) I won't getting a 2 or a 3.

I have the 1080P HD Hero 1, and I agree that it's great! Plus they really hooked you up in the beginning by giving you a TON of extras: Suction Cup, Multiple Flat & Curved Mounts, etc. I know they're trying to keep costs down and profit up. I haven't compared videos of each of them, but there are improvements with each version.
I personally think the new one looks pretty cool, but I don't use mine enough to justify a second one.
im still just going to wait for costco to carry the 2... the one they carry is gonna have the battery backpack and wifi bacpack also the suction cup mounts, head strap and assorted mounts. for 199.99$$ Nov 15. Then I might also buy a go pro hero 3 white editing cause its only 199.99$ also. Put that one on the back of my bike lol

I just bought the hero 2 motorsport for $199 shipped.
was it a stupid move ? or should I had waited for better package or perhaps hero 3 to be on sale ? all I wanted this to do was record while riding for evidence incase something happen like last time some mofo hit and run.. and I did not get a clean look at his plates.. so hopefully with the recording now.. it will help out :)
