Akra Tail pipe on RR7

I have a 2007 600 rr7, and am looking at buying a used akrapovic rear silencer with link pipe, which is for a 2009 600RR

I have been told that the RR7 and 2009 600rr pipe is slightly different, but it can be made to fit.
Does anybody know how big a modification it is to get Akrapovic link pipe for 2009 to fit a RR7?

The 2007 and 2008 CBR600RR models are identical. There are, however, subtle differences between these models and the 09-12. The Akrapovic slip-on and link pipe for the RR7 and RR8 is identical so you should not have a problem.

The link pipe is slightly different length, 2009 is longer by a smidgen.

I have 2007-2008 slip on on my 2012, it fits but the exhaust doesn't stick out as much.

The bracket on the mid pipe that bolt onto the frame will not line up; but I left it off and it's fine.

In your case, I would assume the exhaust will stick out more than intended.

Anyone got a pic of a 07-08 CBR with a 09-12 Akra to see how much further it sticks out?

What about Arata they claim 07+ for slipons...might source one for a guy in the UK soon if the transaction with fairings goes through fine, just need to find a box for them which is not as easy as i thought, anyway i'll post pics if I do

If I use my 09 link pipe on my 08 will it rattle due to not being secured to the frame?

According to the other thread, 09+ pipe on 07-08 will hit against the bottom plastic under tray.

That's not so good. It's £185 to buy a link pipe on its own.
