I was watching live when it happened, doubt I'll ever get the image out of my head
About that, I was watching the race and got up to get something from my room. I get back, and I was like "what the hell is going on, what is this crap, why did they stop the race?!" then I saw a replay of the accident and was silent until they announced the inevitable. Sad times.

MotoGP held a tribute to Marco Simoncelli, with the opening of a small monument placed at the corner 11 circuits Sepang, Malaysia. The event began with a road along which made the whole MotoGP riders and team officials, and led by the Gresini team.
Simoncelli, who earned the nickname 'Super Sic', is the winner of 14 Grand Prix series, and managed to win the 250cc class in 2008. Gresini team rider suffered fatal incident at the Malaysian GP last year's race.
Valentino Rossi, Yamaha rider was not far from the time of the crash Simoncelli took place, also leave a comment. According to him, although long gone, these events are very difficult to be forgotten by all elements of MotoGP.

On Saturday the 8th of December the exhibition "History of Sic" will open in Coriano, arranged in three themed rooms in the Palace of Culture of the late rider’s hometown.
Coriano is preparing itself for a “Sic” style party next Saturday with a distinct scent of gasoline. Many fans are expected at the opening of the “History of Sic” exhibition, which is a look back over Marco Simoncelli’s life beyond the photos many now know well. Unique pieces such as his first ever race suit, a pit box of the San Carlo Honda Gresini Team and a paining dedicated to Sic by Rimini artist Davide Salvadei will be on display.
The idea is to bring together the world of two-wheel sport and culture in the town’s Palace of Culture, with such displays as those from MotoGP™ photographer Gigi Soldano, whose works can be seen in the corridors of the main entrance to the exhibition.

I remember I was in the Philippines for a vacation. I came home early to catch the MotoGP race but my cousin wanted to play xbox so I didn't watch the race. During one of the cutscenes I just happened to glance at my twitter app on my phone and Jules tweeted "1987-2011" and I was like "please no...."...was sad that night and the next day. Quite crazy that I didn't know this guy personally but felt like now there was a void.

I hope it's a permanent exhibition, and will still there in September. I'm going to Coriano.
