Hey guys, its time to get a new battery. There are a ton of aftermarket ones, all from dirt cheap (and cheap looking) to insanely expensive. Like $20-$400! Does anyone have any experience with batteries they like at a good price point? Obviously I'd like to spend as little as possible, but also don't want to put anything sketchy on the back side of my electrical system...
Usually the legit ones are $80-$130, with the Yuasa YTZ10S being pretty widely regarded as legit. That was my last battery but I let it die by not runnin the bike for a couple years.
My current battery was $18 plus around $10 for shipping. Install was a nightmare as the screws don't screw directly into the terminal and need a nut on the back, which was not fun to deal with. Feels strong and starts up solid, install was just a pain.
My next battery will probably be another Yuasa.
Just amazon or ebay "YTZ10S" and a bunch of different brands will come up and just pick whatever fits your budget I guess. :D
Was just browsing motorcycle superstore and came across Shorai LFX lithium batteries for about $140. Anyone heard of these or have any experience with them? If they are lighter and last longer, they're definitely worth it IMO.
