Hi All!
I just purchased my first bike, a 2006 CBR600RR with 7000km! I adopted her a from an unfortunate rider that had to lay her down due to a car performing a U-turn in front of him. She does need a lot of love over the winter, and I'm praying the frame is still straight but with any luck she will be shining again by spring. While the colour is currently orange, I plan on painting the fairings candy red with black in the next week or so and the rims red as well. Unfortunately I don't currently have any photos to share since all that is showing is the frame. I promise to post how the rebuild goes in coming weeks. Wish me luck!

There are still some mods I need to do in the next few months but I'm excited to finally ride! Passenger peg signals and HID projectors are next on the hit list!

Was the frame bent? What other things did you have to fix?
It looks great from where I'm sitting.

Thanks for the complement! Luckily the frame was fine. However there were a ton of hiding defects that have been resolved. The right steering stop had sheered off, the front brake reservoir had been destroyed and spilled its contents everywhere, the forks were leaking, the brake disks were warped, the instrument case had cracked, I had to repaint a set of OEM plastics twice (The first attempt didn't go so hot LOL), the rear signals were toast, and the tires were in need of replacement. There were some other issues that I'm sure were dealt with as well but are currently escaping my memory.
I would also like to say that I couldn't have accomplished this rebuild without the people of RR.net. Thanks to everyone that contributed the wealth of information on this site.
