Every now and then it seems like you get something in, put it on your bike and you don’t like.
You put something on that you did not like how it looked or fit. Added something that did not give you the performance increase that you wanted or worse, you get in over your head. eg( Engine Rebuild, Tearing down Forks...etc..)
Tell us your story????

Replaced my tail fairing as when I'd bought the bike the existing one had a crack behind the passenger seat, along with a paint flaw on the side. Well turns out the knucklehead prior to me used screw's that were too long for the rear vent grilles. So now my new tail has the same dimple on each side where the screw pushed the plastic out! Didn't break the paint luckily but I was upset with myself none-the-less after paying for a new fairing and to have such painted.
One small detail, never thought of it, two seconds with the Dremel could have prevented it. Life goes on!

how i put a marchesini rim on the rear, a 6'' and had a place make it fit. turn out they were a millimeter off and it caused the bearing inside to go, costing me $200 more.

We hear you.
Unfortunately, it's a common practice. Trying to "Make" the wheels fit.
Usually does turn out well.

ya, i then took it to a guy who his son races pro Moto cross and he made it fit on the spot. he fixed my bearing and put a little spacer between the wheel collar and floater bracket and it fixed my problem. if they would of never shaved down my floater bracket i wouldnt of had a problem. stupid custom bike shop, didnt know anything at all. charged me $50 and ended up costing me over $200. now it works perfect and looks bad ass

Had a Puig fender for the tail and the license plate...
Every 6 months I had to change the plate beacuse it would break into two pieces due to vibrations... It looked good, but there you have... Something that I will never change again...
did the rear res delete with tygon tubing. had it about a foot long, then cruising to the gas station i notice some smoke coming from what i thought was the exhaust. turns out the tubing was too close to the mid pipe, and melted through, dumping brake fluid all over the place. oops. ended up taking it back to the house and shortening the tube. no problems since.

Thought the same, but was rushing to get it together to ride and didn't have a heatgun handy!
Just motivated me to take the gun from work and handle it tonight, as I don't want it to worsen or break through.
Speaking of neons....went to a local car meet and a group of 3 guy's on GSXR's rolled in, snubbed my bike when they saw it, and rolled out with their blue neons on! I laughed inside.

I did the bi-xenon projector mod. Now I hate dealing with all the wiring when I have to work on something. I've cleaned it up since, it did make it easier but my high beams don't work so I didn't gain much from the mod.
