Track Day

Just did my third track day, first at PBIR (moroso). '09 600rr, brand new set of Dunlop Q2's. Still smilin'. The more I ride this bike, the more I love it.

congrats man. I did my first trackday back in march and ever since then ive turned my dd 07rr into a track only bike. Nothing comes close to riding on the track thats for sure.

So do track addicts even ride the street? I really want to try but money is tight and I'm afraid I'd love it.

My wife and I did 14 track days this year (2012) and we both still ride on the street every chance we get. You come to realize that riding on the street is NOT going to be the same rush as on the track, but you enjoy it, for what it is. It doesn't hurt that we live 18 miles from Deals Gap either.......lots of great roads in this part of the country.

here in southern california there are trackdays pretty much every weekend or every other, so for me the decision was an easy one. Don't really miss riding on the street anymore.

Nope, I haven't ridden on the street in YEARS!

But I get enough track time between racing, instructing and hosting events that I don't really have the itch.

This year was slow with about 18 days at the track. In 2011 I got to spend 43 days at the track! (many were 2 day events).

And I have no plans to ride on the street any time soon.
