anyone know if its repairable? i changed me brake pads out then when i tried to put the bolt (allen wrench head) back in it was stripped. need to know asap its my daily drive thanks guys once again
heli coil is the only good way other than buying a new caliper
edit:
to elaborate - a heli coil is new threads. You drill the current hole out 1 or 2 sizes bigger then thread the self tapping heli coil in this hole. you now have thread the same size as your original bolt again.
heli coils are also pretty reliable..ie theyre not going to strip or pull out again
Other than that you can tap the hole but it will have to go a size up and you cant use the original bolt.

If its the threads your pretty much SOL.. Fixable but not worth the headache.
Head just buy a screw puller and buy a new bolt.
Technically you can re-thread it, or clean up the threads. Previous owner (or me, I don't know) stripped a stud on my #4 header IN the block itself. It was incredibly scary to do, but I cleaned the threads using oil, a compressed air, and of course a a tap. If it's the head, even easier, but you can do that.
If it was me I wouldn't give 2 sh!ts about it since it's the rear. I can hardly even reach my rear break in my race-boots with my current rearsets. Take that thing off and make it look clean WOOOT
Yea I know you can but the threads won't be as strong as original and you will make the clearance bigger making it weaker.. Also might need to make it a bigger bolt than before on top of other complications
