hey guys, im new and just want your two cents on the deal id be getting for a certain bike im looking to buy..
just a little backround info.. i have several years experience with the last two being a daily motorcycle driver.. had a 07 fz6, a suzuki boulevard for a week (too slow ha) and currently own a 09 fz6r and now i feel its time for supersport
im looking to buy an 07 cbr600rr its got the sexy pearl whit and silver paint and only 1,300 miles.. guy is gonna give me a deal for $5900.
i have bought and sold bikes to this dealer before and know he is legit. I went and rode it this morning and everything worked great..
Im gonna trade my current bike and hell give me 3,700 which is low but i know he has to make a profit and me trading in and not trying to sell it for more and then buy full price makes taxes alot less too..
$5900 is a little steep. $5500 is better $5k is more of my flavor for a 07..
To give you an idea I got my mint 08 graffiti (bike in sig) for $6k flat a year and a half ago with 7.5k miles with a tender decent cover FE/flush blinkers with all stock parts, recorded maintenance in the manual, at recommended mile changes, backed up with receipts of service. He was going to throw in a old shoei helmet and gloves but I already had that so I said keep it.
On top of it he offered to deliver the bike to my place and when I checked it out I told him I had 2 other bikes I was looking at that weekend and he said hed list it as pending sale till I got back to him after checking out he other 2 bikes..
And said if I wanted to wait and be rolled it over 8k miles he would do the 8k tune up free if I wanted to wait but I wanted it then so I said no thanks.
Nice looking bike. That sounds like a pretty good deal to me. If you could get it for an even six that would be even better. I love the 07 & i wouldn't think twice about jumping on that deal.
That's a good price especially from a dealer regardless of how old the bike is. If you want to offer less then go for it but if the dealer doesn't agree then don't loose a bike over a couple hundred bucks, especially if you really like it

no matter how u look at it, its still a good deal even in the long run.... 1300 miles isn't even broken in yet...
and I just checked out the website.... if he gives this Christmas deal too then I wouldn't argue over a few hundred either... especially if its what you REALLY want...

That's a pretty good deal for being at a dealership and the bike being pretty much new. If they can't move on the price...see if they can throw in some aftermarket parts or free services down the road.
Good luck and great choice for your next bike!

I posted this on your intro thread, but if you didn't see it:
looks like the front fairing is cracked under the right headlight (if you were sitting on the bike, left side if you are looking at it head on). The front left turn signal (again if you were sitting on the bike) looks droopy also. Price seems a little high to me (I bought my 06 for 4500) but that 07 you are looking at has way less miles than my bike had. Other than that it looks like it is pretty much stock. How were the tires? hard to tell how much tread is on them in the pics

Just FYI make sure that's OTD.. Or else your looking more toward $7k to $7.5k by the time your done depending on tax and dealer/service fees they like to sneak in there
