999 tail+ selfmade undertail

Whats up guys, around this time last year I came up with the idea with a different look for my 05rr and came across duc 999 track skin. However that project stall since exactly around that time (idk if you remember) caRRot did the 081000rr tail convertion on his 07.

Long story short, I did the same thing to my bike (actually I went all out with the Krr looks). Well, I ended up liking the 05 front and 08K tail. To me the 08K nose seems kinda flat, and thats just a turn off (to me), however I'm lovin' the 08 tail and I think it looks better than the '12. Now, since the tail conversion raises the tail by at least 2 inches and the side exit exhaust starting to scrape the asphat, I decide to go back to standard/normal riding position.

Idk for some reason I favor the shorter tail look (08kRR/rsv4) rather than the long ones. (04-07 Krr/HP4). So today I worked on the 999 tail (since its giving me the short tail look) but since it meant for undertail exhaust, I ended up using an older R1side fairings as the undertail. So heres what I came up with

As a whole? No, that was just day one. I still have at least 4 more days to go.

Novel idea, but I'm not feeling it. The lines are not fluid.
Interested in your final product though.

Thanks man, nahhh if there's some weigh saved by going this way it wasn't like I intended to do it for racing. I am far from racing lol. I did it for fun I guess :)

Hers a little update... You all know who won the race right?!

Looking awesome! Can't wait to see more... Only comment I have is I'm guessing you are painting the body with rattle cans? Since you are putting so much work into this, I'd look into getting a nicer paint job on it.
