If you are talking to someone about buying it and they were first to contact you don't just turn around and sell it to someone else and then ignore the org person. I turned down one person to buy theirs and since i got screwed outta that, the first one I was going to buy is sold now too. Second time something like that has happened, think i'm done with the For Sale section.
So when I'm told to wait so they can check my zipcode for shipping thats my fault? Sorry but if you are working on a deal with someone you don't just blow them off thats bad business. And at least be nice enough to notify the person you blew off so they know to stop waiting on a response.

You have to think of the seller. I've had offers come in on stuff, but nothing materializes and I get tired of waiting.
Especially on a forum, entertain all offers and the first to pay for it gets it, done. I have better things to do than go back and forth w/somebody and wait for decisions to be made.

Well i was the first to inquire about it via his thread and pm by hours. I told him I wanted it, he said he needed to check my zipcode for shipping (even though the thread stated shipping was included in the price anywhere in the US), I said ok b/c if I needed to pay a bit more for shipping if it was expensive I had no problem. I gave him my zipcode to check and was waiting all night for him to respond so I can send the funds. Then this morning I check, still no replay but instead I find out by reading the thread. So why even ask my zipcode if you are going to sell it to someone else. At that point I assumed the deal was final....guess not. But yes this is not even a full day we are talking about, i responded to him minutes after he PM'd me. Sell to whoever you want but don't treat buyers like that.

I didn't see what you PM'd him, if you did. But from the 1st post you didn't even sound like you definitely wanted it. Not sticking up for the seller but I wouldn't have seen that as you were definitely buying it. Take from that what you will
cash talks and bullshit walks. thats how i pretty much sell anything. however if i have multiple people interested in buying something, i tell each one that the fist one to pay gets it. i will then notify the other potential buyers that it has been sold.

Kinda hard to pay before someone else when he goes back on what his thread said about shipping included and says he needs to check my zipcode. And i'm sorry but you don't say first one to send the money w/o keeping your customes informed. I'm not going to have to wait on a refund b/c X amount of ppl all sent funds. Now if someone inquires about it but doesnt say Ok in days then yeah sell it to the next one. But obviously in the case I was trying to get the final price. But w/e if this is how any of you do business then like I said you got shady business practices.

Oh yeah I'm willing to bet thats what happened. But you know...I was willing to pay more. So would it be hard to say "hey he offered me this amount, but you asked first so would you be willing to pay the same?" Is it that hard. And like I said, I was going to buy more than just that swingarm from him but oh well his loss.
But that post was to make sure the price b/c it wasnt clear if it was $130 for everything or an extra $130 for PC but either way I wanted the swingarm. S
No need the OP felt that he showed enough interest to the seller & the seller thought otherwise & grabbed the first chance to sell a part . It's been really hard to sell anything here for various reasons tough times ,Xmas etc etc even on EBAY it's just as hard to sell plus all their fees (listing fees , pay pal fees ) shipping fees kills your pay off at the end
dont sweat it man...after all this is a 600rr forum, what else are we going to recycle here... just be patient and you'll come across another swingarm.
Sometime I'd ask sellers if he can hold the item, some say yes and some say nope... Can't really blame the seller though Its his stuff so I guess its up to him.
@ Nutty- others have already found it the thread just look for it.
But not going to specifically call him out b/c this was meant for sellers (plus not like its going to help me get the part)
My main issue is if I was the trustful person I normally am and went ahead and sent him the money I could have gotten screwed....especially if I would have been nice enough to pay for it as a "gift" so he keeps more of his money. I know there are alot of ppl on here that do that b/c it helps the seller out but b/c of situations like this.....I would suggest to not ever do it that way b/c you never know.
But w/e I'm over it just wanted to offer a piece of advice for any seller or buyer on here. I'll get the part I want sooner or later and someone more deserving can enjoy my $$$.

You got a point for sure simply do not send any funds until you are sure of the sellers knowledge of what you are doing first . Now you know what we are not all the same I have refunded funds before without any hesitation for various reasons .
such as double payment from two different buyers even though the first one that paid pmed me asking to forgive him for requesting a refund i said no worries man after all . So I pmed the second buyer after refunding him his money telling him that the first buyer backed out and you know what he bought the part and was happy .
Got to take the situation in stride its so much easier that way and be rest assured your quest will be reachable after all .
