Rear Tire stands
O.K. I am sure this thread has been done before, but what is a good Rear Stand for 600RR's. Found this one, can anybody tell me if it is a good price or if it is any good?

I personally would only get one that worked with spools, that one looks like it doesn't work with spools. I got the Pitbull rear stand that works with or without spools and love it. Got the front stand too.

That's the thing, I don't have any spools. Do you leave the spools on all the time or do you take them off when you are not using the stand?
Where did you get the pitbull stand and spools from?

Cool sounds like the spools are the way to go. How do you know what size of spools to get. They have like 4 or 5 different millimeter sizes on one site that I was looking at.
Do you have to drill any holes or anything like that to put them on?
02BESOHUGE, what kind of stand do you have, Pitbull?

I have a regular rear stand... POS 30 dollar one, and when I step up to a spooled stand I'm getting a pitbull.. I just got my pitbull front stand in and the thing is top notch... actually ended up taking the cheapo one that i bought up to the machine shop that I do some work in and welding it up because it was a bolt together... it's better now but for spools I'd get the bull...

Yeah I think I am going to get a bull most definitely. Still unsure of what size of spools to get? Can you help me out? Read me last message and you'll see what I am talking about.
Thanks.

Yeah saw it. Appreciate it. Looking forward to your review. I have been doing alot of mods to my bike lately. The cheaper the better, for the stand, as long as it is good quality.
Thanks.

I got a Redline stand for Chritmas and I like it. Pitbull is probably the highest quality. The Redline is fine for about half the price.

STOP!!! that stand you have is the same one I have but you can get it from www.korkys.com for $29.95 plus $9 shipping. I can't believe garagetoys is getting that much for them. I do like it though and it works great on our RR's, I used it on my buddies GSXR and it wanted to slide on his swingarm. I am going to try to sell it to my buddy and pick up the two piece front/rear set. I would definitely go with spool type if I were you though, it's just extra piece of mind.

You just leave the spools on all the time. There are threaded bosses on either side of your swingarm (on the bottom side) that are meant for spools. I bought mine from the local Cycle Gear store for like $12 but just about every online vendor sells them. I believe I ordered my stands from Indy Superbikes but you can get them directly from Pit Bull (spools too).

I just bought a used Pit Bull rear stand for $70. I have OES spools. Works great. IF you can find a used Pit Bull, that is the way to go, it's not like these things wear out.

i love my oes sliders and spools... they have a deal you can't beat... spools take all of 30 seconds to put on... just bolt them in to the spots on the swing arm that are already there..
