I would never chrome my rims but if you like it who cares right? It just doesn't flow with the look on our bikes/sportbikes IMO. Hogs, yes but not sportbikes.

I remember when it was cool to polish the crap out of anything that was aluminum. Frame, swingarm, wheels...etc. For me, it's too much work to keep clean if you ride.

I think polished wheels have their place, and polished lips look great on some bikes. Hating on anything people do to their own bikes is kinda ghey IMO.

Your relating something that belongs on harleys and show bikes to a bunch of guys what want less weight, more performance, and to drag knees all day long. It has its place on some bikes. I have seen some mean polished marchesni's on a ducati that looked amazing. Polished lips look cool, just be prepared to spend more time cleaning the damned things then riding the bike. Its bad enough cleaning chain lube off everything non-chromed or polished. I perfer the black/gold combo to chrome. We all have our things.

Its not my thing, but your opinion is the only one that counts. Do what you think looks good on you bike. Its your bike, you should enjoy it.

There are worse things you could do (like the leopard fuzz look).

Chrome almost seems "Anti-Performance" to me. Nothing says poser like shiny extended swingarm, frame, wheels, frame sliders... Now with just having the wheels chrome, thats not really poserish to me, but I don't personally care for it. Your bike though so don't worry about what I think too much. Just don't extend your swingarm and chrome it out. That is gay.
