I have read some posts here about this, but I'd like some more opinions.

-At idle, I felt the engine rpms dip a little and momentarily run rough, but then return to normal

-RPM dip frequency increased over the next few days

-Last Sunday, the motor quit while under a constant speed. It was like someone turned off the key. All lights remained on. I was able to cycle the kill switch and restart the bike.

It has suddenly quit many times since then. It always starts again after the key has been turned off and back on or I cycle the kill switch.

The bike has 8500 miles on it and it does have a PC-III installed.

Any thoughts?

and see how the bike runs , best of luck

Circuit shortage. Check your the wiring.

I had this happen to me on my '03 bike. People were saying it was probably me but to this day I truly believe it was the bike.

Also, remember to keep the rpms above 5500 to charge the battery.

Well they first came out in 03 and i for one had 4 different units
and they all acted the same way u described . According to
Dyno Jet internal electrical interference caused the problem
depending on date of purchase your unit might be covered
under warranty call Dyno jet & best of luck

The battery posts have been tightened.

Unfortunately the PC was purchased back in 2003. Prolly out of warranty.

i had this problem on my f4i, ended up being a bare wire coming from ignition touching metal. Everynow and then my bike would just die, couldnt figure it out for the longest time until i got so annoyed w/ it that i took all the plastics off and went over the wiring sure enough bare wire that had some burn marks on it.

Id go over the wiring, and like said above ive seen loose battery connestions do that also more than once
