Hey,
I'm looking at getting my 600rr real soon.
I went to a local shop in B'ham, AL. They have
one red, one blue, and one black '04 on the floor.
They also have a left over perfect yellow '03.

The black and blue are damaged (looks like someone
dropped them slightly) due to crate damage...I could live
with it.

Heres The Prices:
Yellow - 7999 (I think this is outrageous)
Red - 8,500 (they could do better)
Black - 7,600
Blue - 7,600

I'm wondering...they've been holding on to this yellow
one for a while now...why price it above the '04s even
if they are slightly damaged.

Is the pricing on the scratched '04's good, or bad?
Anybody know of any other dealerships selling
perfect rr's around $7,500?

Thanks,
Oscar

**** em. go by a '04 gsx600.
j/k

which is your favorite color?
I like the blue, and am waiting til after my college graduation on the 14th to get a blue one.
But really if you dont give a shiat about color, go with the cheapest.
Personally, i wouldnt buy the blue one if i was in your situation, i would buy my next favorite color, which happens to be black.
Realistically, 7600 is a decent price. 8500 is way to much. If you really like the blue one, like i do, have them order one. Agree to a price of 7,600, give them the check and have them get you a blue '04.

But thats just what i would do.

good luck oscar-

the yellow is a limited production model and worth more.
I think they could do better with the damaged 04's. But pick a color and make it fly.
I really loved the black '03s...and was questioning
the black '04s. It looks ten times better in person than
it does on the honda web site.

I think I'll go negotiate on the black one.
The 03 Yellow is wicked fast!! 8)
The damaged ones should be even cheaper depending on what's ruined. Plastic is expensive!
yellos is the fastest, hence the price, they could not even put wings on it since it was so fast.

you might be able to say you could live with the damaged ones now, only because you're desperate for a bike. But once you've been on it for a week or so, you'll be pissed that you bought a damaged bike for almost new cost. Unless you wheel and deal with them to lower the price so that you could order new fairings with the saved money.
u plan on paying cash or financing cause i got my 03 yellow RR for $7000 otd. i also live in alabama bout 25 mins from bham. just let me know and ill pm u the info!
yeah, my yellow rr ended up being 7666 otd...

U know...that's the same thing a friend of mine told me. She told me not to get that bike, cause she knows how I am with my car. I would probably be pissed the first time I got it home and washed it!

Wish I had the cash right now to purchase it right out. If I buy as soon as I graduate, I'll be financing. I should be getting a huge increase in pay from my job upon the receipt of my diploma, so if I wait till middle or end of summer, I could probably do it cash. I WANT ONE NOW

anyways...crotch_rcoket022, did u pay cash or finance!? And pm the info, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Yup, it's true, yellow is faster. :cruising: got mine for $7500, if you rough up the salesman you get a better deal. try putting him in a headlock, and re-negotiate, lol.
the 03' should be (at most) $7500 OTD.. and the Damaged ones should be $7k OTD. I got a perfect 04' blue for $7500, roughly $8300 OTD & 3.5% APR for 5yrs. my dealer was a **** at first, wouldn't budge on the msrp price of the 04', he also had a yellow 03' for 7500.00...so I told him I would consider the 03' if he wouldn't budge on the 04'... I didn't buy that day, I called around... and few shops where willing to match or beat his price, plus they had a black, red, & yellow 03's.. so i went back to my dealer and said that I was walking, cause I decided to take a look at the red 03' instead...bam! the bastard told me I could pick any 04' color he had in stock (blue, black & silver, red & black) and he would sell it to me for the 03' price. haha so don't get dicked around. plus there's a 1k rebate on the 03' for dealers. thats why they're all marked down. thats what my sales guy told me. so good luck.
OscaRR600,

If I am correct the dealership that you are referring to is CP, I know because I have been looking around here (Birmingham area) hard for the best deal on an '04 blue RR. In all honesty I don't see any of the local dealers ready to deal because they don't think that they have to. So I say bump it and hit the internet. My best find is Lake Hill Motors up in Corinth, Mississippi (about 3 hours towards Memphis) and they quoted me "7399.99 cash otd", finanacing it would add about $200. Now of course you got to give Bob Riley taxes, tag and title once you get back but you should still come in under $8K. Either way let me know how you come out and pm me if you want to ride sometime.
i also bought my bike form lake hill motor sports. he gave me a slightly better deal though(dont know why) great customer service also. i said i was coming over to possinly buy a bike and by the time i got there they already had the bike prepped back in the shop area hidden from sell.
